because by posting an ad in the personals saying they are seeking a sub, then surely they are inviting potential subs to memo them unlike junkmail which arrives uninvited

Lets ask a question... Do you respond to every piece of mail the postman delivers to your resisdence? Or to you at work? Every leaflet advertising a local take away, electricity bill, credit card statement, bank statement, telephone bill, ISP bill in writing and promptly?
Yes? Good heavens - millionaire and retired? As I'd never have the time to do it.
No? - same as everyone else then.
The point - whats the diffeerence between the mails through the door, and the ones that people receive here that are (sometimes) unsolicated, and nearly invariably unwelcome.

The only thing that surprises me about this thread is Proccie's not shown up with the popcorn stall. Why poison your liver when I could eat it for you?

Well...
I have an advert up and get loads of messages everyday. I make a point of replying to all first messages (despite the fact that a lot really don't deserve it - there are many trolls out there wanting sex). I empathise with the OP, there is no mistaking the fact that many lack good manners but often if you send a polite "thanks but no thanks" you then get bombarded with whinges about "fairness" and "just give me a chance". You are always expected to explain yourself. No aparently doesn't mean no (who would have guessed). Maybe I should start using "red" instead (tongue firmly in cheek). Six of one and half a dozen of the other really. Can't win. I am happy with the decisions I have made to date so I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
Unfortunately I think it is a case of put up or shut up really. Not a lot you can do about it so fix a smile on your face and continue on

I thought your initial posting was quite clear too. I also thought that a lot of the replies you got indicated reasons why you don't get a reply, as per your question.
For example: People get a memo from you (or anyone else) they look at the profile and a few posts of the person who sent it, see nothing they like and having already spent a good ten minutes or so on that research they then decide to not waste any more time on someone they are not interested in and who has nothing of interest on his/her profile. So no response is sent and they move on to the next one of the 50 or however many memos they have received that day.
Take it that no reply means 'Not interested", and console yourself with the thought that if they're too rude to reply then you can cross them off your list. OK it's not how I do things but it is how a lot of women who get many, many memos deal with them. I reply to each initial contact and most of the time I'm saying "Thanks but no thanks" in one way or another. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Point to not: This post doesnt apply to any Domme or person who has been polite in replying back..even if to say 'get stuffed!'
Fem1st... it's like trying to nail jelly to the ceiling arguing with Dommes...this is their arena and you wont win...because you cant meet them face to face..it is frustrating then you realise it's only cyber and most of them are full of s**t
anyway....the reasons being when you look at a Domm'es (Pro-Dommes excluded) profile you think you see this person who claims to be a 'lifestyler' etc...in reality 99.9% are full of it....and really are quite 'normal ' ppl.
Being full of it is no excuse for bad manners or ignorance though...am very assertive and strong willed in my profession..have to be and would buy and sell any Domme on here...lets face it men are stronger most of the time... but I adore the Power Exchange idea..it's release.
Theres a couple of so called 'lifestyle' yawn' Dommes here who I've chatted to recently..have gained their interest..then they blank you lol...not naming names..a couple though if you saw them in a vanilla bar or club..you wouldnt touch with a barge pole...it's just their fetish interests and knowledge that appeal to me .
Anway, will sit back and read all the boring bulls**t comments thrown back at me...not bovverd...I enjoy being a fantasy wanker....let the Domme's have their 5 mins of fame before they go back stacking shelves at Tesco's

What a t@sser... I have known men like you before matey, having been from a similar background. I have learned to smell bullsh@t from a mile away and you reek of it. Do what you do best and have a good w@nk!!!

(Stumbled across this while browsing the DD's and couldn't pass up the coincidence) Threads are like skirts. They should be long enough to cover the interesting details, but short enough to keep things interesting.
