My boy calls me Goddess and I love it. I dislike Mistress and detest Miss/Ms. I don't mind Ma'am as long as it's pronounced correctly (ham, not palm).

I just have this thing about strong women. The dominance of most Dommes (certainly the more accomplished) stems from their personality - not just their kink. Mix this with beauty, attractiveness and sexy and that becomes potent. Add intelligence and that's irresistable. Therefore, I am happiest worshipping a strong woman - not a goddess. If I were to use the word goddess - thats all it would be - a word - probably a misnomer in my search for another superlative. It is definitely the Woman I worship.

Usually if a tribute is required or not.... it does seem to be predominantly the women that give themselves these god awful titles.
Though i have been called a goddess before, and while it does sound rather pleasing to the ears i would never expect to be called that as its just so pretentious and false..... however before he posts it i have made someone call me Goddess of infinity and beyond a couple of times Most the guys ive had the pleasure of having any dealings with just like to be called Sir, if that... the lordMasterUberDom's tend to be those least likely to come up with the goods..... ~* Raku wa ku no tané; ku wa raku no tané. *~

Somehow there's something erotic about the idea of a woman being a goddess, but it sounds rather pompous for a Dom to be addressed as God :-0
I think the problem goes back to most monotheistic religions generally having male deities, so it feels more like one is actually claiming to be God. Female Gods however abound in classic mythology so it feels more like one is just saying they are powerful, beautiful, an object of worship and dominant, not dissimilar to saying your partner is an angel. You are not claiming they are a divine being in a literal sense I prefer being called Master therefore by my lady, though I don't mind her telling people I'm a sex god ;-0

Yes; if one is to assume divinity one really has to prove it by doing miracles in front of a board of adjudicators approved by the main religions. I think they have people like Cliff Richard, Michael Rosen, Cat Stevens, and there has to be someone there to decide if what's being performed would be impossible by a mortal being. Then the applicant has to sign their name by calling down a bolt of lightening to strike it into a slab of stone. If they pass the test they get a special certificate to put on the wall, then they can have their own religion and proper worshippers and priests and churches and live forever. If you don't get the certificate, you mustn't call yourself divine, or you might get arrested and sent to prison under the 'Pretending to be a God/Goddess When Your'e Not One Really Act' (1968). Somebody that used to go to Club Goddess and called herself a goddess, even after being told not to by a policeman, is still doing time in Holloway, and not due for release until 2011.
Oh please, I hope not.

To atheists like myself 'Goddess' is a bit of a 'tongue in cheek' term not taken too seriously anyway. 'taste the whip, in love not given lightly, taste the whip now bleed for me' Velvet Underground |
