Today after work i had the strangest feeling... my eyes were filling up with tears because i felt happy. I haven't felt like this for a very long time.
Work is going really well. It's only temporary but i'm getting a lot of hours. I also had a meeting with my boss today and i will be doing an intro at another location so i can blend the two together and work even more hours and gain more experience in my field. I guess applying for in excess of 150+ jobs did pay off in the end, though this came through purely because of my practice placement.
Everyone is so nice to me at work. I was even 'forced' to sit down down in the big comfy chair today with a coffee and cake as i had been working so hard. Ten minutes before the end of my shift someone came to take over... i didn't even have to ask. The team work is great and i really do feel like part of a team and almost a family with the daily hugs i get from colleagues.
I have also been seeing someone for the last six weeks or so and i'm very happy. He lives a distance from me but we try and work round our schedules and he came up here last night. I can laugh, cry, be cheeky, stroppy, funny... just everything with him and for some unknown reason he can handle all of it. We shared a very special deep connection last night - i felt so safe and that is the most important thing to me.
