Am I a rare commodity? A straight (possibly curious) CD. My long term fem play partner has now moved overseas, are there other ladies out there who play with straight Cd's or was she a 'one off'?

I notice you are fairly new to the site. I am still finding my way around myself. Some people do post a Weblog and on the Discussion Boards on the same subject, but I am not clear on the etiquette. The Website Help is about using the site, rather than a more general Help. Other BDSM might be the place for this. Do check that people are able to reply to your Weblogs and that the replies can be seen. Might be better to give people a chance to reply to your original posts on the subject, then after a while repeat if not many replies. I think I have seen previous instances of this where they have flagged up it is a repeat. Most people here are very patient and will, while telling you if you got it wrong, point you in the right direction. I hope you get your reply and enjoy using the site.

Thanks for your input, to be honest I've found the site quite confusing, and not really 'user friendly' to newbies. appreciate your comments though tku

it is very user friendly, but is this the first time you have been on a computer? "It's like shovelling sand into the sea"

Since this is now on a more correct board...
No. Why assume other cross dressers are gay if you aren't?
Again, a) Yes b) no. Welcome to Ugol's Law: "For any given BDSM practice either nobody does it or more than one person does it" or more simply "You are not alone" I'll never regret this, ...although I may rue and lament it

What, straight crossdressers? I've never heard anything so preposterous! We... no, I mean they, definitely they, are legendary creatures, like Bigfoot. Hey, what's that over there? *hides*

I've been using a pC for years, but as only at work, I haven't used the internet much and sometimes find it quite hard how to work things out. This applies to quite a lot of people. Although sites have guidance, if you are new to it, you also have to work out the language. I didn't rush to post when I joined so had managed to work out the basics before I started. But I still haven't worked out how to put links in and bookmark posts. A case of having time when my brain is working sufficiently to work it out. I also struggle with the acronyms and spend a lot of time in the dictionary and trying to work out what some of them mean. I keep thinking I need some sort of guide to help so I can make use of more of the functionality.

The point is you've tried to learn...you've watched the boards, seen how things worked, then started to post with trepidation (as I did).
Acronyms? I learnt as I went along, looking things up, as you have. You'll get there Links? It tells you all about it here which is linked at the top of the page every time you post, along with other useful info.
The point is, you didn't jump in all guns blazing...well done ETA: You can't book mark posts unfortunately, you can book mark people, or post in the thread and then look through your posts. "Bottom line: it's couples who are truly right for each other wade through the same crap as everybody else, but the big difference is they don't let it take them down. One of those two people will stand up and fight for that relationship every time." Edited 24 Mar 09, 12:50 AM by yoda_dog

Thanks for the tips. I had read the bit about links, but forgot where and had become too familiar with the posting page so wasn't looking in the right place. Will read and digest at a more suitable time -my brain has already started to go to sleep!
Thanks again. | |||

The vast majority of cross dressers define themselves as straight, so you are not alone, by a loooooooong way. There are millions of us! (9/10 men have worn womens clothes and women regularly wear mens - and thats without them wearing trousers being taken into acount) I, personaly am a bi T-person (I'm not sure where I fit on the scale yet), and there are loads of trans people out there - there is just the problem that a lot of them are so far back in the closet that you would be forgiven for thinking that they were trying to get to Narnia, due to cross dressing and transvesticism not being a particularly acceptable pastime, especialy with boards of directors, wives and workmates... So we stand with the US on 'Don't ask, Don't tell' (although on a seperate issue from the norm), and we hide. Joy.
Yes, there are many regular cross dressers that happen to be straight, but not many of them will admit it thanks, badspyro Uni is bliss... |
