Following on ( sort of) from a post by Master Gio, which I have not responded to as I can't be arsed, mainly because he is talking out of his. I have copied it below, but my question is, for those that harp on about it .....what do you do for the scene/BDSM community? Many of the Pro Dommes and subs/players I know raise money for charity by BDSM related means. Some give their time/expertise for free as House Dommes/DM's etc. Do you consider that turning up for a munch that someone else has organised to be doing something for the scene? What about going to a BDSM club that is run commercially? buying a fetish item at a BDSM fair from someone that makes a profit from their wares? Without the people that run clubs/fairs, make items, organise munches etc etc "the scene" would not be promoted...but I still ask what is your interpretation of someone that does something for the scene/BDSM community? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++A question was asked on another site about Pro Dommes and tributes and no one had anything good to say about Pro Dommes so i thought I would bring it here as I see quite a few Pro Dommes here. Now I wont be shy in saying I have no love for them and believe they are doing a lot of harm to the BDSM community. The reason I feel this way, is that people in to BDSM who are living the lifestyle and in relationships, base this all on trust, respect and love and I'm afraid the mighty Pound/Dollar just cant buy these things. Pro Dommes and such are turning the BDSM lifestyle which is not a choice for most, but a way of life, into a circus where they feel they can charge people to experience what they call BDSM. Pro Dommes jump on their high horses if you compare them to prostitutes, which is right as prostitutes provide a service and are honest in the service they provide. Pro Dommes need to accept the lable of prostitute more readily as they are providing a service that gives sexual or emotional gratification and the fact they are not romantically linked puts them in this category. Remember you don't have to sleep with a prostitute to have been with one! I feel as the lifestyle is struggling more and more to be accepted as a way of life by the general populous, that these people are doing the lifestyle untold amounts of harm. Yes they may be strong views and opinions, but they are what i believe so if I have offended anyone then so be it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++

Matchmake for others I'm not exceptional, most ladies I know do these, or a combination of them BTW.
Gio is trolling, or has an uncontrollable need to validate himself via the powers of anti- ProDomme postings. Most of what he says is far from reality, as I think he discovered in his thread

I thought most of Us went to clubs Munches and events.I try and play with people that dont get a chance to play, ie no partner or cant afford to pay,or have never played before, when I go to parties.
I buy from fetish markets, have done for years.
For Me being Pro Domme is not all about raking in the cash, I love what I do and try and share with others, not always for gain, in various ways, lending time tools and Dungeon.
I'm sure if I put My brain to it, I could think of other things I do that just are natural and not realy worth mentioning.

I grace it with My presence. Eh? What? Can't I say that? "If no sexual offence is being committed it seems very odd indeed that there should be an offence for having an image of something which was not an offence," Lord Wallace of Tankerness

Sadly, many anti-Pro Domme folk will always have the inclination that we attend scene events, to tout for trade/business. Not that we *shock horror* actually enjoy ourselves, play for free, like to mingle with likeminded, feed our voyeurism, have friends lifestyle and pro/none pro, and play quite happily even without tribute or a money incentive.
I do enjoy frequenting scene events, and I wish to travel further afield this year too " The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. Resist it

Yes, and lots of people would rather make a living from something they really enjoy doing than a dull job they can barely tolerate. I've had plenty of that in the past sadly.

Read the post......No one is asking you or anyone to justify themselves. I am stating a fact about the Pro's and non pros that I KNOW that support the "scene" and comments by some idiots on this board re pros, that we do harm to the BDSM community, need addressing. I was hopeing that Master Gio would tell us what he does for the greater good of the community, but I guess he is still snoozing under the bridge waiting for big billy goat gruff to come along.

I'd mentioned something along those lines on the troll's thread already. My reply was in no way a jibe at your post but at the threads you were targeting and their O/Ps ..... or more likely, their O/P. A Man Is For Pleasure, Not For Life
