Thursday morning i got up had a shower and got dressed. I picked a lovely black skirt and my silk Berkertex blouse. I took my time to pamper myself as i am off work at the moment and needed to chill out.
All my usual make up came out and i started as normal. I never apply my make up the same as i am trying to experiment with it's effects on my face. Well as usual C came down stairs and said i looked gorgeous. But this time i felt gorgeous in myself. I take pride in how i ldress and look as Sophia.
After we had breakfast i had to go over to work to drop my sick note off. Out of respect for my work colleagues i phoned the office up and asked if it was okay to drop my sick note off as Sophia. They all know about her, but have never met her face to face. I was told it was ok but would i mind not going into the offices as they had guests in a meeting. This doesn't bother me as i have to work with most of theses people on a day to day basis.
We arrived at the security gate at the site where we are based. On the way down the drive we spotted 2 work friends walking back from the shop. So i asked C if we could give them a lift back. In they both get and looked a little shocked. But Paddy said i looked completely different and that i looked good. That brought a big smile to my glowing face. I was well chilled and really happy. Dennis one of the guys i work with took my sick note in for me and we left. After a few wolf whistles and get your tits out for the boys off the loading bays.
On our way i asked C if she wanted a drink from our onsite Greggs. We pulled in and went in the shop. Lou and Jenny have seen me before as Sophia so it wasn't a shock for them. But Ally hasn't seen Sophia face to face yet. Who was first to see me Ally. Oh my god you look great, that look really suits you. Chit chat and we got some lunch. And that was the end of that little episode. Time to be driven home and relax for the rest of the day.
Once home we ate our lunch and had a cuppa, as per doctors orders we sat and relaxed. C decided to clean the kitchen while her poorly little sub sat and watched tv and looked at the internet for a while.
About 2.30 there was a knock at the door. It's ok darling i will get it i said. Up we get and open the front door to a little asian gentleman. He asked if i was interested in swapping energy companies. As i have been looking at swapping i invited him in. He then explained that he could save us about 20% off our bills. My little ears pricked up. Yes i am very interested if you can save us money. This is were the fun started.
He asked if it was Miss or Mrs Dixon the previous owner of the house. I said no Miss Dixon does not live here anymore. He said thats not a problem we can save you the money instead. Can i start by asking is it Miss or Mrs? Unaware at the time i simply said its Miss Sophia H____. Then we went through all the rest of the details. Once the application was done he said i need to look at the meters for their numbers etc.
First was the electric meter, simple its next to the front door. After that it was the gas in the other corner of the room behind the big sofa. I started to pull the sofa out and the gentleman, as he was a gentleman, said "excuse me Madam, i will do that for you."
Shocked by this i went into the kitchen to talk briefly to C. She had listened to the whole thing and said, "he thinks that you are a woman."
Shock gasp horror. Bloody hell he thinks i am a woman.
I went back into the lounge and started to push the sofa back into place. Again he said, "excuse me Madam, please leave that to me."
We sat and finalised all the paperwork. I had to sign the online application on his laptop. The signature just flowed out as though i had signed it a 1000 times. Instead of the first time that it was.
I am still in shock after that day, but it makes all the effort i put in as Sophia worth while. I strive to look good. On this occasion it paid off.
The day after we recieved a phone call from the company asking to speak to Miss Sophia H____. C took the call and shouted me as i was upstairs. I took the phone and said "hello can i help you?" The man on the end of the phone said, "I am trying to speak to Miss Sophia H____." I simply said, "that is me i am transgender." He took the details he needed and that was the end of that. In 6 weeks we have a new energy company. Under the name of Miss Sophia H____.
ps. Yes it is legal as i have changed my name via Deed Poll to Mark Sophia H____. I choose not to use the Mark bit.

Neck injury? Tut-tut, what have you been told about ropes and necks? Now come on, how old are you? You know that ropes and necks just do not mix......
