I am not an intellectual, I hate reading, I don't know any big words, I am simple minded, I lick windows and I AM SUPPOSED TO STUDY THIS MAN..

You'll love learning about Chomsky!

I mean I did'nt when I had too, all those long hours reading about his dusty academic achievements and rum political ideas were dull and seemed never ending at the time, but, the main thing is I don't have to read about him ever again.

I hope this message has helped.

Here comes a whizz-bang, and I think you know what I'm talking about, woof!

What are you supposed to be writing about him?

If I knew that a man was coming to my house with the conscious design of doing me good, I should run for my life.

I love Chomsky! Chomsky kicks ass / arse. I'm a bit 'OK, whatever' about his linguistic theories, but his politics rock. You can quote me on that for your next essay. :)

ETA: Chomsky is a Jewish American who has suffered the effects of anti-semitism, but he is also a vociferous critic of US and Israeli government policies. If I have a political intellectual hero, then he's it!

What's the point having cake, if you can't eat it?

Its a group presentation, so not just me. I find analytical stuff tedious. But, this is a compulsory part of the course. Another year and I'm dropping this motherfucker. I am a creative mind, my own ideas, words, my own ebb and flow. My mind just ain't wired for this. Some people just clutter the world with too much thinking. But, a lot of people are finding this stuff hard work.

I can see how some of it helps. We are looking at ideology, culture and Marx at the moment. But this is going to be looked at for the coming years as it is geared more towards film study students and the head of the department has said that a lot of stuff on this module we could do without. Hey ho, its a learning process.

Give me a pen, paper and my imagination anyday over this!!

Quite a few of his keynote speeches are available online as mp3s. Download them and just let them run in the background, you can get a feeling for his general stance and style that way. He seemed a little utopian to me but then I am a pragmatist at heart.
