So help me I will never take my leg or walking for granted again. I am miserable board and frustrated to hell!! I can't sit, stand or lie. No position is comfy for long I hate the world. I took myself off with my crutches before down to the 'corner shop' the corner seemed to be in Timbucktoo!!! Any distance further than my bathroom seems impossible and I still don't really know what I've got the quack at the hozzy , although highly cute, was vaguer than a pot noodle nutritional contents list!
Bit of context, when I got back from Oz I was at my fittest, I was gyming it 4 times a week and eating good, I was in training for greatness, I started to run and whilst training I did summat weird to my leg, my knee would swell, not really pain but discomfort. So I halted training and I have been going for tests and MRI's ect. Well last week ish I was doing a night shift and a fight broke out between two males with a combined weight of about 27 stone, I gave them three chances then called the fuzz, a night in the bridwell would cool them down, boys will be boys. Before I knew it whilst waiting for Dickson of dock green to attend, being sensible I stood quite far away to police the event but not get in the way, in the blink of an eye one of them grabbed me suddenly all I felt was the concrete on my knee cap and 27 stone of testosterone right on top of me. Ouch. Now after that night it did not hurt much more and as I've been on nights I left it, but on Tuesday after a bad nights sleep I woke up in pain, it was hard to walk. I managed to hobble into work, but it just got worse as in tears down my cheeks worse. My knee cap was as big as my head – and that's big I dropped everything I got to my doctors around the corner who took one look at me and basically said – do not pass go do not collect £200 pounds I am calling you an ambulance. I refused the ambulance coz they are for sick people and I got a taxi to Arrow Park Hozzy. When I got there I was met by a team of bone doctors who where talking about surgery and needles and that! I screamed at them – NOT UNTILL MY SISTER GETS HERE!!! I was gonna go through it myself but I suddenly really wanted my sister. my mate was in Liverpool he came too, I gave him my phone and told him to tell our Jay ect. The little bugger went through my phone and told everyone I was going into theatre to loose my leg! Now if he'd have done that to anyone else I'd have laughed my ass off but he upset quite a few of my mates who do not know him and his sense of humour, so I am pretty cross with him.
Any way so they say they thought I had been walking around on a broken knee cap for a week, but after x-rays and that they ruled this out. So why does it hurt so damn much?! They recon I have torn my cartilage, which has caused an internal bleed, leading to pressure in my knee (ouch) I have also damaged some tendons (ouch ouch) and torn some ligaments (ouch ouch ouch) and have soft tissue damage (wahhhhhh!). to put it simply it bloody hurts. Bad.
At least I am at home now but I want to do things! I have the whole weekend off now but cant do anything or go anywhere! Gutted. When I am back to normal which I really hope is soon, I will never ever take my mobility for granted again!

its ok! i came home tonight and our jay left my phoniex nights box set on my bed!!!! hes only had it for two years!! hurrah! i am happy! just watching the one where he meets that chick at the singles night and he takes her up the stairs in his stair lift and says 'things i am gonna do to you' ha ha ha h aha dont mind so much being housebound now! badges? I don't need no stinking badges!!!! | |

aww your sweet thank you! milo has been my knight in shining armour! i just got back from fracture clinc, no opperations - just heaps of physio and i have to stay on the crutches for the next two weeks! i just spoke to my boss - i am going in tuesday they are providing a car there and back and i get a whole two weeks to catch up on paper work which i will love! hurah hurrah! i may eat some cheese to celebrate, but then again ill bail and just smell it! bahhhhhhh badges? I don't need no stinking badges!!!! | |
