Did anyone else see this last night, on BBC3 or 4? I meant to watch a bit of it, out of curiosity, and got totally sucked into it. No wonder I'm so bloody tired today...
The interlocking, incredibly moving, threads in the film covered the apparently dreadful treatment of women, homosexuals and the poor in modern Egypt, the radicalisation of young men and wild political scheming and general wheeler dealing. What a fascinating and moving film.

Yes, I agree, it was an amazing film. It was a beautiful suprise to stumble across it while channel hopping last night I'd be interested to know what the reaction to the program was in Egypt. Here comes a whizz-bang, and I think you know what I'm talking about, woof! |
