is there such a things, just a few nights ago while reading profiles on collarme and came across one profile from a dom which caught my eye,he was saying all the normal Dom stuff about trust respect and loyalty when almost at the bottom he added must be fit enough to look good on my arm!!
well not being any oil painting myself and not looking for a Dom i wasn't put out by it.
but it did get me thinking if there was such a thing as a trophy sub, i guess we can all steroe-type rich old man and dumb blonde or footie player and other dumb blonde, but surly to be with dom you would need to really feel a good conection maybe not always a deep sexual one but still deep feelings of some sort. i myself have been guilty while being at a club at looking at couples and thinking hes punching well above his limit, i also know this is a very shallow way to see other people when i know absolutely nothing about them, except what i visually. so is there any dom out there willing to say that they have at some point only been with a sub because she makes him feel good and is there any subs out there that have only ever been with a dom because of wot she can get out of him, as in clothes, outfits, shoes!!! names can be changed to protect the innocence... i could have been one as my hubby/Dom is 17 yrs older than myself but he wouldnt let me.. and as we are now in our 20 yrs together stage maybe its just as well he didnt.. I have seen many younger girls with far older far less attractive doms not for what they buy them but for the experience that they offer them. They could possibly be considered trophy subs its just that its for different motivation. Personally I have been with people in relationships that in a vanilla context I would not fancy like at all. You just look for differant things. However RE the profile that you read saying he wanted someone to look good on his arm im thinking that isnt an unusual impulse for loads of people. Another type of trophy subs are the ones that are serious pain sluts. Again the bragging isnt about the traditional looks thing but how much they can take etc. Dont fight for my rights, ill do it myself. | |

I think it's very easy to get the idea that a young, attractive woman on an older not-so-attractive man's arm must mean some kind of bargain or trade-off like my money and status for your looks. But my experience has been very different. I've met, on IC and elsewhere, and played with a number of attractive women as much as 30 years younger than me (and I've had offers from women 40 years younger - but I've turned them down because I don't believe they know what they're doing and could prove to be problems.)
The women I've met haven't been any more gold-diggers than normal
What they've got from me is a lot of experience, patience, kindness, emotional stability and maturity - and the kind of BDSM they were looking for, with no strings Oh, and I'm also available for birthday parties and Bar Mitzvahs. *laughs* I was tempted to say I'd be more than happy to be a trophy sub - that is part of fun fantasy for me.. and I think for the right person I guess it's true. But of course, reality wise, I (or anyone who really thought about it) wouldn't want to be pure trophy - just wouldn't be any kind of stable relationship. | |

i must say i do rather like the idea of being a trophy.. (not implying i have been!) but the idea of being paraded and 'shown off' by your proud owner sounds delightful, and would really re-firm their affection for you..

I'll be honest, yes I do prefer trophy subs. Looks are important to me so I seek out attractive subs, the same as I do with nilla partners but if we have nothing in common apart from both being attractive then I get bored rather quickly. Never underestimate the stupidity of other people. | |

I'm not sure the "trophy sub" label is helpful. Yes, each sub looks different, and some will attract more admiring glances than others might - but this is just one aspect of what makes up the "total package". Yes, there IS an appeal to wandering into a club with a "walking ego trip" on your arm, but that's surely a rather limited appeal. Other qualities come higher on the wish list. The "trophy sub" label also risks assumptions being made. Once the sub is a "trophy" it's all too easy to forget that they might actually be a great deal more than JUST a trophy.
