I walked into a post this morning and whacked my outer thigh, right on the muscle. Now my whole thigh is really stiff and I am going to have a massive ugly bruise on it. Sympathy please!

Sympathies, dear. Unless.....you're a closet CSI fan, and got so excited at the idea of mailbox-baseball last night that you couldn't resist 'northernising' it to mailbox-football this morning.

sympathy...as I clumsy clot myself I shower symp in your direction. Years ago (and I mean years and years...a depressing number of years) I was working at Social Services when I had a little accident, like you a silly walked into thing type accident...only I used my face. Next day I had lovely bruise and I was supposed to be working on the domestic violence reception desk. The sympathy I got from my fellow workers (once they new it was an accident)? To tell me I couldn't work on the front desk as I looked worse than some of the clients! I was put onto filling duty in the old file room...out of the way...like Qasimodo. The final straw came when I stood up too quick and managed to whack my head on an open file drawer making me look even worse. A real case of added injury to insult! |
