How would such an arrangement actually work?

Would the sub come in do the necessary work and then get a session if the domme thought the work satisfactory? Seems more logical than the sub getting the session pre work..

And what if the domme then decides the work ain't up to scratch. No session and aggrieved sub. Pretty much what has been suggested by some of the dommes on this thread already

Sounds like a recipe for tears before bedtime to me

:) :)

You know, a much too significant percentage of the work I have done for PD friends has been either because it wasn't done right the first time, or, more often, because the 'ever so, ever so service orientated, honest, Mistweth, I seek to serve' type sub hasn't even bloody turned up. Or has just wanted to fanny about the place without rolling their sleeves up and getting on with it. And the job still needs doing so... well, friends help friends.

Absolutely no aspertions cast on anyone here, but it does seem to happen with monotanous regularity. I just don't get the psychology of no-shows, or why the most vociferous declarations of service orientation are all too often an indication of unreliability. Or why it is so gender specific - in 30 years of kink, the girls have always turned up, without fail, the guys.....

So yes, nothing wrong with a barter system, so long as people follow through on their side of the bargain. But I completely understand why any of their Ladyships might be a tad sceptical.

i've had such an arrangement with a pro Domme when i was much younger and much broker ;) The deal was to type the manuscript of a book She wrote. There was no "price" per se for my service : i would just do whatever She needed, and She would reward me as She saw fit, when & how She wanted.

It worked quite well with no bargain and no negotiation. i just was there to work and i knew that if i did a good job She might throw some bones my way. That kept me motivated all along !

I've been known to put up perfectly good shelves (Ok the design was actually slightly shonky, blame the manufacturer). And the idiot I put them up for only fell against them putting almost their full bodyweight onto them and broke them!

I know i shouldn't laugh, i know that that would be a really really bad thing, but ... well maybe just a tiny snigger.

I'll get back to the washing up (which i'm very good at by the way ;) )

Oh god yes. I've yet to meet a man or a sub that can do DIY as well as I can...

I had to teach the last one how to use a bloody spirit level last time...

You should meet my sub. He and I built my playroom from just a bare shell (with some help from a couple of good friends) and we are working our way through our house renovating it bit by bit. Last year we put in the kitchen ourselves and did all the papering, painting etc downstairs and my sub still found time and energy to be deliciously obedient and submissive the rest of the time.

I do agree though, mostly, it is quite rare to find subs whose work is good enough to exchange for sessions or in fact for anything.

I have many offers of work instead of money for sessions and I always turn them down as my own boy is the best I can get for all things DIY.

I've had a few good uns over time but most like to fanny about and think that deliberately fucking it up will make me likely to punish them. I'm more likely to throw them out :)

I need my garden digging over, old lawn removing and sand and manure adding, then digging over some more. Bit far mind ;)

My gardener has cottoned on to what I do and has offered a free year's work for one little taster. Roll on spring.
