As i walked through teh Whitgift centre this afternoon I walked past the doorway of The Card Factory, and hanging on the wall by the doorway were slap and tickle sets (foam paddle and feather duster), LIttle devil sets (horns, fluffy handcuffs and a red bow tie) and floggers.
I was quite bewildered really. they were at a level where even 2 year olds could see them, yet people become offended at blank fronted Private Shops being anywhere near schools.
But really ( and i know this will probably brand me an old fart), but wouldn't they have really been better higher up and at the back of the shop.

smiles.....and where there is a market for something they will be sold. Interesting that a card shop can sell these however BDSM is condemned. i guess people cant put 2+2 together. maybe we should go pink and fluffy if it guarantees acceptance!! grins | |

Would it really make any difference? The number of overt sexual images the average child is bombarded by everyday must be astounding. I remember a few years ago BHS was openly selling body chocolate. A then there are the very sexually explicit birthday cards being sold in W H Smith. Mild bondage gear being openly sold? I'm actually a bit pleased it's finally making it into the mainstream. | |
