Once the munch has started, and this is the thing that so many people find the difficult bit, you get to know who turns up regularly, is a decent sort and can communicate with people. You then say to these people "I am going away next month for my facelift/fraud trial/whatever can you look after the munch while I am away?". It isn't hard to do and only takes ten seconds. Erm...yes, I was, in a co-role. I handled publicity and the other person found the venue. No one at all from Barrow organised the original Carlisle munch or was in any way involved (you're talking shite again, I see), but having just returned here after a lengthy absence and seen these posts - and having no idea that Carlisle was running again until I did tonight - I can only congratulate the organiser for going ahead and actually doing it and hope that it becomes a regular and popular event. I'll be there, and regularly, ASAP. | |||

We run the Southampton munch together and if we dont go it just runs itself but always manage to post it on the events boards every month anyway so people know. Ours is also in a gay bar where they have cabaret on after we have left and also sells food and the landlord loves us cos it brings the money in on a sunday when not much is happening day time. Wouldn't change the venue at all I am what I am and what I am needs no excuses | |||
