Sat here happily in the sun, watching the world go by. Such a nice way to spend an afternoon.
I am supposed to be looking at flowers. More specifically wedding flowers. And what I though was going to be a very simple task of choosing has become more complicated. *See i am re-erading for all those type errors!*
For example, I am now wondering about areas such as:
Artifical or Real ? What makes a good bouque, or posie ? How many button holes ? Table flowers ? WHich flowers? What style of bouque would suit my dress ? Same goes for the bridesmaids... ? -although with the girls wanting to dress a cowboys and a peterpan...unsure on flowers at all ... Or a magic wand, water pistle or something else as bizzare.
I have been into Two local florists in Leicester who were not very helpful. One offered to book me in in 6 weeks time to discuss ideas...hmm, i would rather get the down conversation before that point. And the other could not help without seeing my dress first hand !! Third time lucky...
Can anyone recomend or any advice ?
Thanks, caroline

Absolutely no problem As for the blog replies, you can changed the default via your settings page. A true friend is someone who sees the pain in your eyes.

I used to be a florist, I would suggest you go into a local recommended shop, ask any friends, people you work with, which florist they have been in. I would try an interflora one, they have always been the best I have worked in. Look in all wedding magazines for styles you like, if you want fresh or silk all depends on personal taste, I like fresh everytime, but if you want to keep the bouquet maybe silk, but you can always press the fresh bouquet. I don't know any good local florist to you, but if you need anymore advise just get in touch. Good luck kitten

It doesnt matter, what matters is that its personal to you. On my wedding day all the local women in the village(friends of my Mum) picked the hedgerows clean and decorated the very dalapidated barn for the reception - it was beautiful, it was done with love. Stress doesnt make for a beautiful wedding - love does. What's your fav colour, what your fav flower? Job done! Kids running around in cowboy suits is much more fun than to see them struggling with a velvet page boy outfit.
Fun and love make for a good wedding Oh and lots of booze... .... oh and a decent man... .... decent mother-in-law.... Ok I'll be quite now.... "Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly."

Oh and just to say.. bad time of year to be looking for wedding flowers ..wait till after Valentines day to go into the florist, I once de-thorned 8000 roses, a florist doesn't have the time at the moment, to spend the time with that you deserve.

Hi Moonlight, Thankyou for your reply. Sounds like your wedding was perfect, so..personal, surrounded by friends and people who care. After a good nights sleep and reflecting on the replies i think we are over thinking, as we are in danager of depersonalising the parts which were/are in important to us...What are our favourites/colours etc
Your other points, 100% there, lots of booze-check. Decent man- the best, he is wonderful, love him to bits, and has the most mischievous sense of humor ever.
Parents in law, they are wonderful and so down to earth, combined with again that sense of humor which i love Surrounded by friends and family, its going to be fun ...i am a lucky lass. smiles, time for another cuppa.
