My weekend was filled with every emotion a human being was given. It started Friday, when I was in attendance at nettie's funeral. I arrived late at the crematorium and snuck in to a seat by the door. The service was not long started when we started singing the fabulously funny song, “The ballad of Kitty Lemon”.
I took the glow sticks out of my bag for the last song of the day. A song brought back to the forefront, a Soft Cell song, titled “Say hello, wave goodbye”. When it started I instantly went into nostalgia mode and an image of French ladies wearing pencil skirts and berets was conjured dancing round his coffin. I smiled and waved goodbye to a person I wish I'd known better.
His friends came from far and wide, some known him years, some like myself a few times. That didn't matter though. We were there because he touched our lives in so many different ways, whether it was engineering, bdsm or music. His spirit very much alive, still bringing people together since his passing, his legacy will live on. I've certainly made new friends from attending the funeral, firm friends who have bonded through knowing briefly or knowing a lifetime, a man who loved life.
Saturday arrived and did a bit of charity shop shopping around Manchester. They are my downfall. I could equally spend as much as I would in say, H&M. We were all going to a birthday party in Liverpool so the day was easy and chilled out. The party was a fancy dress occasion and erm, yes; I had to wear a cow outfit (pics will follow soon). We arrived at the party, but who's birthday do I hear you cry. Why of course it was Miss_Tura's fabulous fiftieth. She looked stunning as Rapunzel. Previously, Bev and I were stuck with what to get her. We had an eureka moment and bought her a cucumber, lube and condoms, simple really..LOL
I wore the cow costume about an hour for the first part of the night's proceedings. I had to take a picture of cow at every table though. Very funny.
Miss_Tura's other half did an announcement with a smoochy dance but cow had to make an appearance. Bev and cow did a Lambada style dance with sexy around the leg moves. We had great company at our table and I made a firm friend in Miss_Tura's dad. What a sport and he looked sexy as hell in his pirate costume. What a great night, a fabulous mix of folks and Miss_Tura a big, big thank you for the invite.
I arrived home last night totally knackered but happy that I spent the weekend with old and new friends.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts of the weekend  It was an emotional roller-coaster for all of us, but as friends we have supported each other throughout. Its at times like this that you realise life is to short and grabbing it by the udders is the best thing to do LOL You looked fantastic in your cow suit and made my night by wearing it. I am not sure if it was the cow suit that did it for my dad LOL but you certainly made an impression on him.
