How many of you who are fortunate to be off or start late today, bound for some tobogganing on a tea-tray down the nearest hill or building a snowman or several snow dwarves . . . or another such activity ?
What better way to start your day and your neighbours day ( ? )than by playing as loudly as you can get away with, on your stereo box record player, these classics :-
Merry Xmas Everybody - Slade ;
Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' Stevens ;
In Dulci Jublio - Mike Oldfield ;
White Christmas - Bing Crosby ;
Happy Xmas ( War Is Over ) - John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band
topped off with It Must Be Love - Madness, which was an end of year release in 1981 and was air-played during the festive period quite heavily as I seem to remember.
What better way to say a belated " Merry Christmas " to your neighbour and immeasurably make up for not sending a return Christmas card to theirs this year . . . . .
I'll find out just how thoughtful this gesture was shortly, I am sure !
So, let me be the first to wish you all a very, very Merry Christmas . . . . . Ho - Ho - Ho !
( edited for the many typos I have just found ! )
