It's never easy saying goodbye to a friend, especially when you know you are not going to see them again. Even though you didn't get to see them as much as you wished you did. It's hard.

What was not hard was to see and feel warmth and love in the celebration of a very lived to the full life. Even at such a difficult time, fond memories, laughter, it would have been what he wanted. They did him proud, so very proud.

So, I got to say hello to old friends, and hopefully new ones too. I wished it had been better circumstances, but that is life.

I got to see a life of my friend I had only heard about up until that point. I was stunned at how fantastic he looked in a suit. I felt my heart melt at the picture of Xmas, and being part of his family. His deserved pride in his work. Some other pictures that made me grin, and think “oh yes, that is most definitely him”. His “new” life may have only lasted a short amount of time, but I suspect that what he gained from those times, far surpassed that period of time.

I got to say goodbye to a friend. One who was loved by many people, in many ways. What I won't say goodbye to, is the memories, everything he taught me, the things he brought to mine and other people's lives.

So I wave goodbye, but you are not forgotten.

I have had him in my mind all day - those wicked smiling eyes and the laugh ....... thank you for taking my thoughts with you.

Most welcome *hugs*

So much love, warmth, feelings and energy there today.

As I just said to another friend, and I hope this will be a comfort to people unable to make it.

It is not the amount of times that we see someone, but how someone feels when they spend time with us.

The memory of us all waving glow sticks and singing is one I will never forget.

Netty touched us all in so many different ways I am so glad he touched mine.
