Heh, didn't have you down as a Mild drinker, but I guess we all move in our mysterious ways; well we all know you certainly do.
Anyway lets get down to business. I asked you here because I wanted a little chat, friendly like. Now I know that you know that I've not been the most...devout... of people. Lets not use the A word. Oh alright, cards on the table I'm... well... I was... on the atheist team when it came to the agnostics Sunday morning 5-a-side kickabout, it has to be said.
Does that make me a bad person?

I've never gone to church. I've disparaged the Bible. Of course, now I know that the Bible isn't Religion, it's not what it's about. A set of laws and morals that were relevant, vital, to the nomadic people of the time... oh of course a hell – oh pardon me – a chuffin' lot of the morals are just as worthy today, but the bible shouldn't be the Bible, as I'm sure you agree. You must be sickened by what happens in your name.
And I also know I've been a bad person, a bad human. I've hurt others, to be fair. Of course, I could sit here and say it takes two, the situation – you know, obviously! of which I speak, verily, I only react… but react I did. I've caused hurt, but I'm not going to try and justify it, I know the part I played. Jesus, do I. Well, I guess he knows too.
Sorry for the blasphemy again. Habit and all that. Your glass is nearly empty, big fella shall I get them in now?

There you go. And there's your crisps. I didn't know they did loaves and fishes flavour? I only asked for one but they gave me five packets, and you sure you just want a glass of water? Heh, looks like wine to me.
Anyway, let's get down to it. I did say I've never been to church; but that isn't quite right. I got married in rather fine one. As you know! Why? Because it was important to my wife, she has true faith, without being blind to all the stupidity that you are supposed to buy into, like the bible. I mean, the Bible as it is shouldn't be The Bible, should it? Shouldn't be taken as gospel. Me... I don't have that faith, but I do believe in her, I can believe her beliefs. I believe in doing right now, I absolutely believe in caring, treating people how you wish to be treated, morals, going out my way to show random kindness... I guess I've changed. I also believe it's your round next.
You know that lyric? "Well I never pray but tonight I'm on my knees, yeah"? What? Oh yes, right! Great video.
But seriously... I'm asking. You must be sick of people only turning to you when they are in need, but tonight, now, I've never wanted anything so much, never been in love so much, never cared, felt so lost and helpless, never shed so many tears as I did last year. So I'm asking... tonight I'm... I'm on my knees... just please, this time... please".
