An inspiration and an enigma. They broke the segmented mould when he wriggled out of the soil!

I meet Netty as I knew him many years ago and like most he left an everlasting impression, enough said I feel.

The world at large doesnot know what a lose it has sustained.

<Tips Hat> with respect,

Yesterday was netwOrm's funeral. It was very well attended as he had so many different strands to his life and there was a real mixture of people. I think the bdsm crowd found it easier than most to find some black to wear.

There were two services, a traditional church service organised by the family who ran the medical equipment company he worked for. They had kind of adopted him as one of their family and they're involved in the local church. Steve had done work on repairing the organ and also asked for the service there. Then we all followed the hearse for miles up and down the hills and over the moors to a crematorium in the middle of nowhere. Real Heathcliffe country and just a couple of miles from Haworth.

There was a more alternative "fun" ceremony there, with glowsticks and singing of the Ballad of Kitty Lemon which Steve had written. I found that part more moving, church ceremonies leave me cold.

Then it was back to his adoptive family's place for nibbles and drinks, an amazing stone built Victorian mansion.

A good send off.

Hi Alastair

I thought it a good send off all round and would like to thank you and everyone who came. It was good to celebrate his life together.

The crematorium is in a beautiful setting and I know netwOrm would have loved that place as much as we enjoyed spending time in the mansion, Haworth and surrounding areas together when he was alive.

I am happy to know that he is released safely from the many difficult trials life placed at his door and can only hope to take example from his courage.

Regards

Hypatia
