I had a picture deleted here on IC. The first I knew of it was that there was a hole in my profile page where I had been showcasing it. The picture was approved when originally submitted, approved when resubmitted for CJIB compliance and then, without any notification to me, deleted. (it contained a labia!)
I am not expecting a discussion on what is acceptable to post on this site, I appreciate that it is a tricky issue, but I would like to suggest is that the picture deleting process notifies the OP to let them know that their picture has been deleted (or failed to be approved).
For anyone interested, this was the picture that was pulled.
It seems to me that the IC Administrators are choosing to err (strongly) on the side of caution in respect of nudity, decency and the CJIB. Pictures of motorbikes, pussy cats and anything that would be OK on page 3 in the Sun will be OK!
It seems clear IC picture censorship is to be very stringent, perhaps even more so now that every man and his dog has a hand in the vetting process.
So, I bring people's attention to the Fetish Photo Album (FPA). It is flickr group set up and used by members of Informed Consent. It is a private space where the fetish, kinky or sexy pictures that we create can be posted and shared with other members of the group. There is no waiting for pictures to be approved.
There are currently 123 IC members and 363 pictures posted so far.
You will find there:
labia, erect cocks, pinched nipples, needle work, corsets, soft porn, hard porn, amateur, professional, medical, CBT, lesbian, gags, blindfolds, age play, restraints, bondage, cages, sheer nylon (mmm), cuttings, tattoos, latex, feet, legs, ballet boots, crops, tree hugging (oh no, I see, she's tied to the tree), guns, blood and more.
I am delighted with the contributions that people have made. It's the stuff of real people. It's a pictorial representation of what we get up to. The FPA is a far more liberal environment for pictures. The most important thing I would seek to encourage is that postings are original and your own work. I'll leave you and the law to make your minds up about decency, that is not something I wish to adjudicate on.
In light of the tightening up of picture censorship on IC, I sincerely hope that the FPA gains support of IC members (and perhaps IC?) as a mechanism for the free(er) publication of images without any risk of compromising compromising IC in anyway.

Yup you're right. Being of a cautious disposition  I have marked the photo as being restricted, that is of adult nature. To view the picture you need to log in to flickr and disable your safesearch filter (the default for non flickr members)Full details are on the Fetish Photo Album page.

Same thing has happened to one of mine. I'm really disappointed as I can't see how it could possibly breach anything - it was a photo of me, face down on my bed, naked, chained and cuffed by hands and feet to the four corners of the bed. You could see a bit of my labia, nothing more, and my genitals were not the focus of the photo. Edited to add: this photo had been approved since Admin asked everyone to resubmit their photos prior to the CJIA, so it's only come to light through the new picture vetting process, clearly someone reported it. As far as I knew, that's okay, I thought it was just close up shots, the obvious look-at-my-fanny type, non artistic (ie might be different if you're showing a tattoo rather than the fanny itself thing, I don't know) but close up none the less. ~“Nothing is ever the same as they said it was. I know, I know! Pictures on IC are viewable by everyone hence only stuff that would be OK in a newspaper will get through now. It's hard to think of a more restricted place for picture posting than IC, (well in this country anyway)
Post your pics on the Fetish Photo Album. It's the place for grown up pictures

Erm, can anyone else actually see this picture? I seem to not be able to see it myself when I log into flickr under a different account. It ought to work as the link I am posting here is a guest-pass link. Anyone else? I have found some bugs in flickr's permission systems before. Yep strange indeed - one has in fact to peer very closely to see "it" and it's not the focus of the photo (unlike BTW "someone" whose whole 50 pic album largely focusses on both her orifices yet , so far, none of her photos have appeared to have been deleted.) ^Thunder^ | |||
