Another great night out. The new venue is looking really good and set to be even better next month. Loads of room to play and people were taking full advantage of that. Well done TS on recent changes. The older I get the more I recall.........how little I knew when I knew it all.

Well ... was my first venture to Afterlife. I have had some bad nights of late at different venues, to the point and Im sure a lot of you will agree I am getting to the stage that we are running out of anywhere to go. I have to say I had a great time last night, you can see it is a "work in progress" but a really nice group of people there and plenty of room to play .... even with my single tail !!! ... and Im told ANOTHER room to play coming to the venue very soon. Very reasonably priced to get in and for once I wasnt too Hot or too cold I was just right. There was only 1 things that I has slight problem with ... The music was a great level for listening and chatting in the social area and someone turned it up to a unreasonable level .. but after 2 songs this was readjusted by TS and happy days !! All this needs is MORE support from the community we all belong too the numbers are a little on the low side and I would like to have more lovely mares and fillys to oggle at ! So my final thought ... This is a good club with potential of being a great venue, I am a picky, hard to please Domme < who would of thought there was one of those around > and Afterlife ticked my boxes. Nice company, affordable, space, cool music, plenty of sitting space, nice atmosphere and I think would be a great starter club for newbies. Thankyou TS for firstly coming over and chatting and explaining the club and 2 for giving me a place to look forward to going to < when work allows>. SO COME ON GUYS SUPPORT OUR LOCAL CLUBS AND GIVE AFTERLIFE A GO ! All IMHO, Vix xxxx
P.S A post'er or a blogger I am not, it happens rarely ... so believe me it must of impressed me “Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will understand.”

That was at my request as it was difficult to dance to the music, but i believe it is down to each individual's personal desires for a fetish night. I personally enjoy the dressing up and the voyeur aspect whilst having a good dance with my friends, but hey that is just me. It would be ace if a happy medium could be established, so that dancing can go on and those who prefer to talk whilst music is playing in the background. How that could me I have no idea (which was something i loved at the 'Spanked' / decadance' venue - a place to talk and a place to dance - everyone happy).
But yes a lovely night and a great use of the space - so much better than the upper floor of Blowing wild - now we just need lots more young long haired goth men and women, free food and i am in heaven Peace out!

I understand what your saying and you did look great dancing. However I have to say that my view < maybe wrongly > of Afterlife is that it is a fetish club .. not a goth disco < as much as I love goths> the music was loud enough to begin with it went to "couldnt hear the person next to you talk" level which for a fetish club isnt on which is why I am assuming it was turned back down as it is a fetish club not a Goth Bar for voyeur's. But maybe its just me being a 35 yr old old fart

Why do they have to be young and Goth? I thought the club was for all ages.

All Happy New Year to you all. To all that attended Afterlife on Saturday. Thank you for your support, especially so close after the New Year festivities. For all those that did not attend, you missed out on a really brill night and may see you at Afterlife in the future. The general plan for Afterlife is to take Afterlife to a even better level than it used to be and is. To take it away from the dance image the club used to have and deverlop Afterlife into a players club. Improvements are in progress with a development of another play area, which should be ready for the event in February. The new playroom/dungeon will be accessed via the main room through a corridor to the dungeon area. The dungeon area will be insulated, false walls going up, painted, carpeted, heated with new lighting going in. A lot of work a head this month be will be worth it when February event around. New equipment will slowly appear also. Regarding the music; music is set for a back ground atmoshere and set at a level that people can hold a conversation and also for the players within the club. The club is trying to move forward for players and develop the club into a players club and not a dance club. The music was at a level for all people to play in a safe enviroment, hold a conversation with out shouting across the tables and also for people to dance if they wish. Hope to see you all soon, thanks to all for the comments on this thread. T_S www.manchesterfetish.com Club info line 07530 249748

ok one thing noone has mentioned is that the main area is almost two rooms! one when you come in with the bar which is well away from the music so you could converse in whispers then around the corner is another section with the dancefloor and more tables. then the room beyond is the playroom ok it's not on the scale of Toga Toga but I think it has plenty of room for everything! and it's changed a lot for the better I like to dance and I like to play, that's why I go to Afterlife, and dancing puts me in the right headspace. Afterlife has always had music-thankfully no longer the deafening EBM stuff that used to get played (back then you couldn't hold a conversation) I'd hate to see the music go, in fact I'd probably go with it-I can take a spanking bent over the chair at home! I think the main music problem is the speakers being on the floor-you are actually at a better level to hear the music sat down than stood dancing! (I could hear my own shoes on the dance floor) if some of them were put on tables or mounted on the wall or faced into the dancefloor I think that would sort it. if the bar served tea now that would be heaven for me! (it's not like I'm asking for cakes too but...) |
