I am still confused - having replied on the board and said I don't like it- isn't it experimental at the moment, and Admins post is only way to link to it- through the post saying its experimental?
We say why don't Admin run things past the boards- isn't that what they are doing? It would have been very difficult to explain this potential feature so that most people would understand it without seeing it- or at least I don't think I would have understood it.
The talk of the ratings upsetting people in terms of self image I find hard to rationalise- the rating system does ask the viewer to rate according to photographic quality rather than personal attractiveness- its possible to have a brilliant photo of a mediocre subject- and vice versa - the most stunning person/outfit blurred with half a cat and a radiator in shot is still a bad photo.
I think personally its premature to delete photos or talk of leaving- I understand that some people may be upset about their pics being used in the experiment even.... but wouldn't it be good to wait for Admin to see the feedback first?

True - but interesting to see that most of my pictures are rated as 1 or have no rating - a couple at 2 and one, a naked woman tied to a tree gets a 5. Now it is a photo of good quality but not that good compared with some of the rest. The older I get the more I recall.........how little I knew when I knew it all. | |

I agree thats why the system doesn't work- as I said earlier- I think human nature overcomes Admins reasoning in some cases....I don't know to be fair- non of mine have been rated and I might feel differently despite all logic if they were.... | |

I think the rating experiment is over but I would give your newest photo Procoleous top marks for subject matter even though the exposure could have been better to show more details in the candle flames  'taste the whip, in love not given lightly, taste the whip now bleed for me' Velvet Underground | |
