As the end of the year we often look back and see what has happened to us during the past 12 months, and reflect.
If I were to do this, what would I see?
During the past 12 months I have made a good many new friends, and lost contact with only a couple or so, so I guess that puts the good balance up.
I started a new munch in March, but when work threatened to intervene, I handed it to others to run. the munch still goes on, and is still busy and friendly. Another plus in the bank.
I did, however, hand over the Phoenix munch to others, hoping that the new blood would take it forwards. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and the munch members insited that I should organise it again, (under threat of death if I hand it over again...lol)
Workwise, nothing much has changed, except that we were a little busier this year than last. I currently have no assistant in the kitchen, but hopefully that will change in the new year. My original assistant still covers my days off, but has moved onto better things. she was replaced by another excellent worker, but unfortunately, through personal problems, she had to leave, and since then I have been on My own.
My birthday once again seemed to last a whole week. Not that I am complaining about this.
I was, on two occasions, able to help a friend out when they seem to need it most. hopefully, they now seem settled, and I really wish them well for the new year.
I saw My favourite team lift a lot of trophies this year, and expect them to lift more in the next 12 months. Go on the Reds.
We have had several ten pin bowling matches against them there Scousers, and so far I think its honors even. Hopefully, when we take them on again in February, we will beat them.
All in all, this has not been a bad year. It has had its ups and its downs, but nothing too drastic. I didnt make any resolutions last year, so was unable to break them. usually I break them within 24 hours.
so I look forward to the new year with hope, with warmth and with a positive attitude.
I know that the new year takes me towards July when I get my bus pass. but even that thought does not deter Me from looking forward to the new year.
I think the positive bank balaance is high, and I intend to try to keep it that way.
So happy New Year to all who know Me. To all who think of me as a friend, to those who think of me as an acquaintance, and to those who dont think of me at all.
May the new year bring you everything you want.
