So, that's it. 2008 is very nearly over and done with - where the hell did those 12 months go?!
This year has been one of extremes for me pretty much from the start. A nasty break up, a return to the scene, rebuilding bridges with old friends and making new ones all over the country. Family illness, the death of a friend, two new arrivals for other friends and somewhere along the way, I've managed to regain my confidence and my smile is well and truly back for good.
I wonder what 2009 will bring? I guess the question is more, what do I want it to bring? Well, to be honest, I have no specific requests other than the health of my family and friends. Sure I have things in life that I'd like to come my way, but I'm prepared to wait for them.
One thing I do know is that this year has been informative if nothing else! I learnt a lot this year including:
I have had an amazing time in some ways too. The friendships I have cemented with some will be forever cherished. Those few people, a couple of whom have only relatively recently come into my life, know who they are and also need to know that I value their presence in my life and that I think the world of them - oh and I whole heartedly apologise for some of the atrocious emails I've forwarded on this past year *grins*
That's all folks, I'm going to stop being a soft git now and say goodbye to one chaotic year and bring on the next one...
It's been emotional.

Oooh, thank goodness you're not off. Don't scare people with your titles please. I nearly chocked on my chocolate coin. x It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. |
