There must be some kind of law that states
"Whenever you have shopped senseless for a holiday event, you will find a fundamental and boring list of things that you should have included in the first instance and subsequently have to go out and brave the throng for life's little necessities."
Maybe it's the 7-eleven rule.
Mine are toilet roll, washing powder, cumin and mustard seeds.

I live by the "completely aniti-social rule". If it isn't on my shelf now, it'll stay on their shelf till after the herds have died down.
Oh, and just to stay on the safe side, I may just have Ocado deliver to avoid a possible after Christmas stampede. Merry Christmas to you and H, by the way.
