2008 was the year I developed an obsession with Martha Wainwright's knees. From some hushed conversations in venue doorways, with equally fanatical Martha music lovers, I can tell you categorically that I am not alone in my affliction.
Standing beneath the stage I watch enthralled, as the beautiful talented woman who eschews genre and sings from the soul, kicks her perfect leg up in time with her guitar, showing the perfect pink piece of her anatomy to all below. This is one time when knee highs are not only acceptable but absofuckinglutely vital. We wouldn't want to miss this sight. Part innocent girl-thing part king of the world, she takes the stage and makes it all her own. That voice. Those knees. What more can I say?
kneeling before her right now. Listening.
P.s. If anyone finds a youtube or other kind of link with footage that actually shows M's knees I will be very grateful!

Well I can see that she has stage presence and a great commmand of her remarkable voice, and a lot of passion, but I found the piece not at all to my taste musically. Glad you do though - each to their own.

Maybe you would prefer this? It has Charlotte Church
and Martha's knees! Will you still love
me tomorrow?

Glad you've found one with Martha's knees which you find so desirable. My musical tastes are quite different and rather obscure; this wasn't it but it was at least a bit more harmonically varied than the previous one.

Any more insinuations of criticism of Queen Martha's songwriting could have serious consequences. I am
opposed to censorship but can make exceptions young

I'm sure Her Majesty's songs are wonderful in their own way. I did enjoy the Dommely tone of this reply though, and especially being called young man. A woman of your age is still aproaching her peak but I'm afraid at 51, few would think that about me! Do carry on enjoying your music.
