I think saying men goto Pro-Dommes, and women to Pro-Dom's is wrong. (which seems to be what people are inferring)

In the main it is still men who want to session with Pro-Dom's too, its not sexual, think erotic but without any prostitutable acts but its still their kink.

my partner is a male Pro Dom and he specifically told me that the vast majority of his clients are either gay and loaded or closeted bi and married. He tends to charge the gay guys more for that reason and his prices easily compare with most Pro Dommes. its simple supply and demand, he has a pro website but still gets most of his clients through word of mouth because hes infamous.

If he had a speciality it would have to be psychological control. Those of you who know him will know exactly what I'm talking about, mmmmmmmm

he says women are rare, but tend to be more loyal as customers, because when they can afford it they regard it in the same way as paying for a hairdresser or a good manicure. He also says that sessions with men tend to last longer than the average session with a pro domme, his normal average is between 4 - 8 hours.

There are fewer female subs around and market forces mean that there is no need for them to pay for "therapeutic" BDSM and most wouldn´t want to.

I'm really not picking a fight here. :-) I question your use of 'need', 'most', 'therapeutic' and 'wouldn't want'... You're fully informed, are you, of people's (not least women's) motivations for seeing professional Dom/mes? I don't recall your canvassing opinion...

I do wish people would slick off generalisations. If you'd like to analyse the fact from the perspective of financial means, gender and sexual conditioning, differential socialisation, etc. then that would make a heck of a lot more sense. :-D

It has been something of a surprise that almost all of my clients have been female. Lots of enquiries from men, usually doms, to boot, but they haven't as yet taken that final step and booked up.

Pro-Doms

How common are they?

If you look at the writing at the top of the 'Pro-mistresses web boards' it says for discussion of mistresses, Dominatrixes, Dommes, subs etc. No mention of Doms, as in blokes, in that bit at all.

I can only really think of two guys off the top of my head who have a professional side.

How much do pro-Doms charge? Do you know one? Is it basically a guy who spanks you and ties you up for money? Are they popular?

I don't really need one right now since I have friends who are willing to beat me and tie me whenever we both want to but I'm thinking it'd still be useful information to know just in case I'm wealthy one day and in need of a good beating with no-one around to hurt me :-)

So, information on the male pro-Doms would be helpful...with a preference to pro-Doms posting themselves! Greatly appreciated :-)

Jebus, I can see the ladies fanning themselves with their hard earned bank notes! =-o

It's a real shame that male Doms aren't popular. If women paid for this kind o thing more often, there'd be an offer of gentlemen to choose from. Unfortunately, in this Catch-22 situation, all that a submissive woman can wish for is are couple of rather uncharismatic blokes who look like my neighbour Cedric, whom we suspected of stealing our knickers from the washing line. At least with pro-Dommes, you can protest about their proliferation, but this means there are ladies of all sorts, and for all tastes, from the auntie next door to the page 3 model.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before or not on this thread, but I keep hearing how difficult it is for single submissive females to find a good Dom. They complain of "wanabees" and people just looking for a "cheap shag" etc...

If this is the case, then surely there is a market for Pro Doms in our community and there ought to be, in theory at least, a lucrative market for them.

Nope - cos ladies are looking to settle down in a long term relationship with that elusive dom not just pay good money for the odd session. I'm in a great relationship with a dominant couple cos I gave up looking for that dom as they have all just broken my heart or abused me, I'd still like to find him one day tho but with any walk of life all the good ones have already gone lol!

If a lady needs a session then there's dozens of guys on here who will oblige for free, it's only the few who wish to be discreet or can afford a session and wish it to be tailormade for them that will go to a pro.

As I said earlier I work with 2 male pro doms and they both get a vast majority of male clients and jahc agreed with the post too!

Pro submissive (& switch) with great dungeon & LOTS of toys grin!

Smirk - 'couple of uncharismatic blokes who look like my neighbour Cedric, whom we suspsected of stealing our knickers from the washing line' - First chuckle of the day, thanks for that.

I have often thought that 'Sir Stephen of St Albans' is likely to turn out to be 'Nigel with a nasally voice'.
