Those of you who know us well, have grown used to seeing the little pocket-sized-dyke that we 'adopted' back in December of 2006... Lildyke as she was formerly known.
(Aimee, to those of you who know us very well)
Tonight we celebrated her two year anniversary with us. She earned her way through the blue collar of consideration, to the black training collar earlier this year.
This was no mean feat, I assure you. She has sweat blood and tears both with us and alongside us, to get to where she is today.
We are so proud of her I cannot begin to explain.
That this young pup dared to join us in a lifestyle that some fear, many envy, but few truly realise just how much work is involved to keep the family machine oiled and running well. How much effort goes into working on each and every relationship within the family personally. To weather the trials and the tough times. To stand by us when others might waiver.
Our boy has done all these things and so very much more.
Aimee has learned and displayed in her own time, the growth and self development that was really necessary for her to achieve this with us.
She remains proven loyal and true, and thus tonight we awarded her with my family leathers... and her own leather name.
She stands proudly tonight as a leather boy in her own right, with or without the family, with a leather name of her own both hard won and well deserved.
Welcome LeatherTwoSpirit, not just any leather boy, but fortunately for us, our beloved leather boy.
