The one issue I had was with the music. It was very VERY loud and, to be quite honest, a pretty poor choice of tunes IMHO. Something other than bad happy hardcore would be very much appreciated next time please, maybe something more akin to what Gadge (PilgrimUK) was playing at the first one would be brilliand. I went over to the DJ, and asked for it be turned down, and he got a bit upset with me. We had a discussion later, and I kind of see his viewpoint, even though I am an old fashioned girl, who prefers to be able to have a decent conversation without shouting, (and my taste in music is very different to what was being played- so I am diplomatically agreeing with you here!). He had a valid point in that timings were delayed -(which is why people were still eating) when he needed to up the tempo so the Ball part of the evening needed to kick off, and encourage people to dance. He said that some folk were already going home, as there seemed to be no change from the Market mood into the Fetish Ball. He had worked his arse off preparing the music for the event, and was a bit frustrated that no one was up and dancing. Anyway, point being, that he said he needed to change the tempo and volume..and at a club where there were loads of people, the loud noise levels would be soaked up by the amount of bodies dancing. It's always difficult to get a balance. Some people want Gregorian chants for playing. Go to Lash, and it's ridiculously loud and fast tempo, so it's always hard to get it right for everyone. Whilst I loved the music at the first Kinkdom, it seems to be much more intrusive at the new venue. Sounds like the kink ball is being separated from the play party in future anyway. I must admit that while i do love a good dance, being a raver at heart, it seems a shame to spend time dancing when there's such a lovely selection of toys just asking to be used! | |

As you will see from Ringing the Changes at Kinkdom we're onto the music / dance issues. What we have is more of a play club than a dance, something that Kinkdom has organically evolved into. So at future events the music will remain background, the play club will be enlarged and brought into the main area and more socialising will be encouraged by seating / layout / music volume. We'll keep working on the mix, we're in dialogue with our DJ, and we will be sourcing from alternatives as well to maintain variety. In the main, though, we're recognising that it is the play and the bdsm community that is important and special: the chance to rave is something that you can pick up at any club if this is your thing, whereas what you get at Kinkdom beyond the dance floor is not easily found elsewhere. Thank you again to T&L for a wonderful event, I have missed it while I've been incapacitated. Thank you also to the girls from Freak Clubwear for allowing me to spend yet more of my hard earned, the flogger is fantastic (though I was sadly out of practice, and think it showed while playing).

Hi, T and L, Just thought I wanted to add my thanks by quoting my other memo: Just to say a Big Gold Star to Tim and Lou for last night's Kinkdom. Yet again, a fab do, excellent Market, with great stalls, and Big Fat Hot Dinners later on. The kitchen team did really well under pressure. Not to mention the fruit cake (no, not Felicity Maid, who is possibly the biggest but sweetest fruitcake out there!) and cheese later. Met some lovely new chums..well done Monday for his first Fetish evening out. Great to have the pony play demo with the very pretty and wilful Pony Girl! I'd like to see and take part in more of that, shame it was all too brief. It would be good to see more people coming, as I know T and L put in a lot of effort, and it really is a great venue. Kinkdom 4 was the first kinkdom i was able to attend due to work commitments etc. I am so glad i was able to go as i had a fantastic time. The stalls were all fantastic especially the shoes lol, i refrained though and only bought one pair. I had to though, the view from just outside the kitchen where i was was the yummy shoes
I made some new friends, the lovely hummingbird and her Sir, Felicity, got to gaze at gorgeous men in suits, doesn't mr stanton scrub up well The play party was great too even though by that time i was flagging and just about dead on my feet. A huge huge thankyou to eric stanton for my first (hopefully of many) suspensions, i loved it.
I'd also like to thank T and L for putting on this event for us all. The work behind it and i only saw on the day is phenominal. I hope that more and more people will support this event as it is great My manner of thinking, so you say, cannot be approved. Do you suppose i care? A poor fool indeed is he who adopts a manner of thinking for others!

Would like to add my thanks too, to T&L, and A/all who help at the event, be it demonstrators or crew, thankyou! Very much enjoyed another great Kinkdom.
Sadly wont be there on New Years Eve, but looking forward to the Kinkdom after that Its so nice to recognise faces now at the event, and of course, being lent to 2 Dominants on Sunday, was rather special!

Able to post from new profile now !!! Congrats and thanks to T & L for another wonderful Kinkdom - Trading there was a huge bonus to us and we are so grateful for a place to go in the North. There was definitely much more of a buzz and some wonderful new stalls, and that sexy santa costume was to die for .. no not T's - gorgeous in his own right of course! Anyway - after discussion we have ventured into the erotic business, so looks like next time we will be adding to our wares - dunno if can make a stall in january but may make it up to play - about time we had a rest from work! So look forward to seeing you all again then - if not roll on valentines!
Oh and well done too, to those behind the scenes volunteers who work so hard - you know who you are - and you are wonderful! Not forgetting those who have supported Kinkdom from day one.. we know what everyone is missing Hugs Katt n luke x

I'd like to say a big thanks to all that organized last weeks kinkdom. It was my first fetish event and I was really worried about going. Nerves creeping in, what will it be like..... Well, after going and meeting so many really friendly people I don't know what I was worried about! I got to wander round looking at the interesting things on the stalls, chat to the owners and talk to other people at the event, I had a great time! For anyone else thinking about going I can really recommend it, you'll have a great time there! |
