For me was last night. Tottered off to Hammersmith Apollo for a gig, after the last couple of weeks I was so looking forward to it.
Act 1 - Children Of Bodom - not bad, nodded a bit but didn't quite do it for me.
Then
Act 2 - Machine Head - They where absolutely superb! Not the first time we've seen them, but was the best I've heard them play.
Act 3 - Slipknot - What can I say..9 bad boys doing what they do all so well, great show, sounded & looked fantastic.
What made it such an experience? My daughter was with me, and from start to finish she head banged like a pro, screaming & singing along, was one of the most intense emotional experience watching her. I'm so proud of her and truly blessed, just how much so hit me last night.
So today we are all tired & ratty, ears still ringing, but nothing can wipe the smiles of our faces. Today life doesn't quite seem so bad after all.
