Well... it's finally happened. I made a chance phone call to the MoJ the day before yesterday and it turned out they had released the date they can begin to arrest people for possessing kinky porn ..ten days ago, with no level of public announcement...
Sitting ducks? Well at least no-one else here should be.. but I remain deeply worried at how many others still haven't got a clue they will be sent to jail and labelled sex offenders if they are caught owning stuff which up until now has been perfectly legal..
Now then... who was it who said they'd clean my computer up for me?

An interesting point. Clearly, those of us here who have viewed the many posts on this topic and taken part in actions can have no plausible deniability of this law. But for the average Joe who probably doesn't read El Reg or IC, do any legal peeps out there know what the likely prospects would be if someone were to protest their innocence on the basis that there have been no real public announcements? What is the government's approach to these things? Do they issue press releases? What if the media don't publicise it? Will the government take out press adverts? You see things like this for motoring offences such a mobile use and seatbelt wearing. Obligatory wanky Latin tagline: Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit

I reviewed my stuff recently and have decided that none should need deleting. I did recently download a set that contained some fake snuff porn and whilst I don't think it would be illegal it ain't my kind of thing so I deleted it anyway. Still, off to check that all data is on encrypted disks just in case. Madness takes a troll

Nope, it's been catagorically disproven. ...well until the Police raid Martin Salter MP's house and discover the naughty rascal has been hording it all for himself. :P

I have some amusing blowjobs laced with snuff sniffing if they want it. I actually might shoot some snuff porn now and market it, what a niche to be in... "Litany, a poncy show-off with wit, a camera, and his own teeth *swoon*"

Bloody stupid law anyway, aint going to solve anything. Question being, if I photograph myself being willingly nettled, is that illegal? No-body perfect, we all make mistakes, if you think your perfect you make the biggest mistake of all, if your afraid to make mistakes, than it's guaranteed thats what you'll make.

I'll certainly be backing up my files externally and making sure my pc is clean, though in real life the police DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES or the DESIRE to be chasing people randomly to seize their pc unless a SPECIFIC COMPLAINT IS MADE by a member of the public! ....hell they dont even come to investiate your own house being burgled in much rush these days... Did you know that if your a victim of fraud they will not even visit you unless the fraud is >£500,000 - HALF A MILLION QUID !!! otherwise its between you and the companies who owe you /you owe them the monies.... keep your files safe and away from non-perverted/non vanilla eyes and you'll be quite safe....well hopefully.... sub doug

Luckily I am in possession of no such things. I'm a good boi and, besides, I prefer to store the images in my mind. Let the witch hunt begin. -sb
