i've just got off the phone from the police. i gave them the info about the camera, they said that they will go into to via to watch the footage. The police man said it's likely to be a well known theif. He said that having people who could identify them will certainly make the case stronger to catch the man/men responsible

I definatly think toza is right we do need to chase this.

toza could you possibly memo me via's number and the name of the person at via you spoke to, thanks.

I'm hopeful that we'll catch the person responsible now.

From now on there will be name badges which will make it obvious who is at the Munch and may also deter outsiders from wandering in.

Oh no not the dreaded badges :(

Seriously it was awful and my heart goes out to those who had things stolen.

Been meaning to introduce badges for ages, had mixed feelings about them. Not a big fan of badges but now the munch has become bigger it will make it easier to remember names and, in light of last night's events, may well help stop folks wandering in.

I totally agree. anything that can prevent this happening again should be done. Eric had an idea too, sure he'll share it with you. :)

As an aside im going to change my name so ill need a few badges to something possibly like miss twinkerbelle kinkerbelle kick my ass pretty please turbation ;)

Er... that's a pretty large badge you're going to need. We'll make one specially for you.

Its not a badge you need.... Its a fecking t shirt lol

I'm not evil.... Just gifted

Yes dear, but I wasn't looking at your face *wink*

To all those who were robbed - so sorry to hear.

I had SUCH a good time at the munch and, like so many, just assumed I was amongst friends...

My bag was down at the end where Zena-warrior-princess was holding court (LOVED the cherry bag! :) ) and luckily nothing was taken (though it was an early bath for me, so maybe all the nasty stuff happened after I left?

hugs

Really awful that all these thefts have happened, and deep sympathy for all affected.

I half noticed several (vanilla) individuals passing through during the evening, but chatting at the time, assumed they went straight out again at the other side, and paid no more attention. There's a door at each end, which makes it easy to come and go. But it sounds like someone knew what they were doing.

It probably wouldn't have happened in the Crow's Nest, but then we wouldn't all have fitted in! Otherwise it was an excellent munch - a real shame this has happened.

PS to munch organiser: don't think I need a badge, my face is instantly recognisable! :)

You must wear your badge like everyone else. Or you'll be on the naughty step. Tut tut. Spank.

It depends. People who deliberately refuse to wear their badge because they want to go on the naughty step will not be put on the naughty step, they just won't get any chocolate.

Really sorry to hear about all this. It is such a shame that we live in a world were this sort of thing happens. I had my bike stolen from inside a security gated flat earlier in the year which made me really annoyed and a bit upset, so I can imagine what it must be like to have something that is very personal to you stolen. I really hope you manage to get everything back and catch the b@#%*£@ds. Just make keep in contact with the police so it doesn't get forgotten or anything.

Life moves pretty fast, if you don't sit back once in a while you may miss it.
