I've been reading, and thinking, as y'do, and came across this, part of the Lilith response on the Backlash website:
-----------------------------------------------
"4. Do you believe there is any justification for being in possession of such material ?
As already discussed, Lilith believe that the list of restricted pornographic material should be expanded from the proposed list to also include:
* Any material which is hostile to women by showing them in passive roles in sexual activity or being dominated
* Any material which features naked women for the sole purpose of sexual gratification (and therefore not, for example, for educational or anatomical purposes)
Lilith do not believe that there is any justification for being in possession of such material. "
-----------------------------------------------
'Or' being dominated? Out go my wedding photos then!
In all honesty, those points just made me laugh. Do they seriously think that banning all that would turn the adult population into....into what exactly? What is their dream? What world would they like to live in? What is their vision?
Ban or no ban, I'm always going to be able to find a guy or gal who'll be happy to take a photo of me, 'for me', (Me, one of those women things, 'my own toy'), sprawled naked across a chaise longue if I want one. And if that guy or gal secretly get off on the results, that's their business and fine by me!
I ain't never gonna be no nun, not for them and not for no bugger!
Okay, maybe for a bugger.
Or for him (bugger that he is
).
Or come to think of it - for me...heck, anyone got a nun's outfit I can borrow just so I can say been there, done that? Maybe I'll even make the t-shirt! ![]()

i never could muster the enthusiasm to read about the photo law thing ... it all seemed rather pointless ..... perhaps i am mistaken. but wasn't it illegal to tape songs off the radio back in the day and isn't it still illegal to download music from limewire etc i don't know anyone who was ever prosecuted .. although i dare say someone on IC will ! all for one and fuck the rest | |

Summing it up somewhat crudely, the difference with this law is that it's breaking the law. It's made it so that you're guilty until proven innocent, rather than innocent until proven guilty which leaves the door nicely and very wide open to a lot of abuse and misuse, access and witch hunts that any warped, self appointed, witch finder general, or ex, or scare mongering politician, bully etc etc etc can have fun destroying lives with.
Still, there are plenty of threads on the boards about all that and this was meant to be a cheerful post, so where's my nun's outfit? ~“Nothing is ever the same as they said it was. It's what I've never seen before that I recognise.” Diane Arbus~ | |

Now there's a thought! I've not long given up smoking, so may as well replace it with another one! For a day anyway
