Why I bothered to get out of bed this morning!

I stayed up most of last night, then got up early this morning to submit a piece Uni work which had to be in by midday, and then found out around 2pm-ish that the deadline was universally extended until Friday!

Then had the scare of my life being nearly stuck in a faulty lift half way between my 12th floor flat and the ground floor - 6 floors to go either up or down, when I can barely manage 1 flight!

If that wasn't bad enough, as I was in the taxi on the way to Uni to see my social worker (for a meeting which has taken weeks and a lot of hard work to arrange) he phoned me to cancel it! He'd booked a room via disability support at the Uni who were doing it as a one-off favour, so now I look like a complete idiot as well. Oh and of course, it now means my home care service is delayed even longer (if 6 months wasn't long enough!).

I have a raging ear infection, an "inflamed stomach", a load of Uni work to do (for tomorrow) which I can't concentrate on, in lots of pain, very stressed, very tired and a whole load of cleaning, washing and shopping to do. Without any help.

Why do I bother?!

Well, fuck Uni (for tomorrow at least), fuck my social worker, and fuck life, I'm having my own time and space for a while.

Sounds like you're having a pretty shit time at the moment. But at least your back on IC!!
