I went to a Swansea Munch once in Yates wine bar. It was unfriendly, unwelcoming and a small group of about 4 or 5 people sat at one table and talked amongst themselves even though 3 of us, all new to the Munch that night, tried our best to join in the conversation, to be friendly and to get to know the others. The 3 of us walked away swearing never to return to such a rude, ungrateful clique. I have been to other Munches in the West Country that were far more friendly and welcoming with the Swansea one I attended being one of the worst social events I have been to in my life. | |

Have to say I do feel a bit isolated living in Swansea, especially when its comes to BDSM. I lived in London for a year a while ago and the opportunities were endless, i met a fair amount of people. I suppose it helped that I was a lot more daring about meeting up with folk up there as no one really knew me. Back in my home town I'm a little more cautious but its nice to see there are some peeps about. so 'hello' to you all! Mark | |

Yes. Unfortunately I'm too far away to offer anything but encouragement, but I would certainly come from time to time and would happily offer a lift to those along the way. I went to the previous evening Munch a couple of times and everyone was very friendly. Good Luck, John

Being a Swansea lad myself, I ended up travelling up to Cardiff for the munch there. Or now it's here as I've moved, but you know what I mean. In september I will be moving to Swansea for Uni and would be very intrested to get involved with any munch in Swansea, either attending or to help organise. I have started to go to the Teeside Munch and its a great way to meet people and have a good night out. Hopefully there will be something in Swansea. |
