Age and domination.
The topic of older doms for younger subs or the other way around often comes up on the discussion boards.
As a switch I have my submissive side all taken care off, so I am not looking for anything in that respect. However I do enjoy my dominant side coming out to play with others.
So what age do I enjoy playing with and why?
I am a 47 year old woman.
Age should not be an issue. As long as they are over the age of consent, so legal and have a mature enough personality that convinces me they understand what submission is about, then their age should not matter.
Unfortunately this is not the way it seems to work for me.
I have been house domme at femdom nights and have played with subs of all ages and have had no problem no matter what the age.
I have met younger and older subs in clubs and have enjoyed some casual play.
However when it comes to the mental side of D/s I find that age does make a difference. I have no problem with the older age limit. It is the younger one that I do have problems with.
It took me a long time to get my head around this as my intellect told me that age should not matter, the attitude and the maturity of a person does not always equate to their physical age. Yet if a sub is younger than 30 I just cant dominate them. I can beat holy hell out of them, I can enjoy a one off impromptu play session. However if it comes down to the mental and continuous domination of someone under 30 I find I slip into mothering them.
I know this is my problem and so I do not start up conversation with the under 30 or ever under 35's if I am honest. I tend to go with the attitude that if you are younger than my own kids, or their partners then I start to get twitchy.
So no point to this blog just musing over age and my attitude to it.
