and a little further reading on one item in those links produces this gem. Host John Noakes was famously asked to drop his trousers after a bruising adventure on a bobsleigh. At which point, he realised he was wearing his wife's underwear which he had put on by accident in the dark they can have my FREEDOM when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
