Yes he made a stupid mistake, however if you actually listen to the rasio clip it was ross who initiated it all, he was the one who shouted out he fucked your granddaughter which instigated the whole thing. the fact that there where only 2 complaints from listeneers to the show, then the media writes a story about it and suddenly you get 30,000 complaints shows that maybe people have overreacted a little bit here. I am not saying it was a good joke. (although i will admit at the time to finding it funny in a crass, oh my god cant believe they are doing this kind of way).

now as for Georgina Baillie. i lost any respect i maybe would have had for her the moment she sold her story to the sun. She is now riding on a surge of publicity based on the fact that she slept with russell brand and her grandfather is andrew sachs. ok yes he announced on radio he had slept with andrew sachs grandughter, but he didnt elaborate, he didnt name her, and i doubt many people would have gone out hunting for her. she could have played the humiliated card, if she hadnt gone for the publicity like she did, and still is now (they are appearing on gordon ramseys cook along this friday, would that have happened a week ago? now I know many people here are imediatly going to jump on this because they dont like him and, they dont like his humour or they think he is arrogant and deserved everything he got, but lets remember, here is a man who has fought some pretty enourmous demons, come out the other side, and actually made a success of himself. yes he is outragous, he travels very close to the line (and in this case stepped over it) but lets also remember his show is pre recorded, bbc didnt have to air it, and as I say if you listen to the broadcast it was ross that egged on brand.

Or maybe he already knows what a vixen he has for a grand-daughter and doesn't mind her getting her 15 minutes of fame (and a serious step up in income)...in which case he probably wasn't bothered at all by the Brand/Ross high jinx in the first place.
