I thought I did, but as it was recorded in 1957, I guess I must have seen it as a repeat in the 60s. I still think it is a classic!

yes I actually think it was shown on that life in the early 80's "One day you'll ask me whats more important to me.. "me or your life?" I will answer my life...Then you'll walk away not knowing that you are my life..."

Oh yes.. (well obviously not from that long ago..) but I do remember remakes of things like it. Makes me chuckle at how television was used to steer peoples minds.

Yes, I'm sure it was repeated then too. Unfortunately, the reason I know I saw it in the 60s as a very young child is that I believed it... and wanted to grow one of my own! Humanity is my interface with reality ~ Shiva AI

In 1986 i think it was there was a three hour show for the first 50 years of BBC Television which i still have on video somewhere. That was the first time i saw it although i had heard of it before. Never make someone you're priority when you to them are only an option.....

I was 6, and though I think we might have had a tv by then, this was shown on Panorama, which was then on at about 8. I went to bed at I think 6:30 or at that time I know that my mum liked to watch something at 7, so definitely before then. So any memory of it is from later than the first broadcast. Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"/ Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."" |
