From his newspaper column today: "Am I alone in imagining Sarah Palin doesn't own a pair of tights? Every time I see her on the news, I have it in my head that under her sensible business suit, she's wearing stockings, and not a lot else." No your not Jeremy! Whilst I can see her being popular with male submissives - sorry boys Mrs Palin is the epitome of the strong no nonsense, well dressed, intelligent woman who would be a Dominants dream woman! Or is it just Clarkson and me who appreciate Mrs Palins charms?

She's certainly an intelligent. powerful female. Her personal views aside she's in line to become one of the most important people on the planet.

What amuses me is the amount of people in this country without a vote in th US election that actually think their views matter.

Everyones views matter, whether you live in the US or Outer Mongolia. I've got friends in the states, and I know they get comfort from the fact that there are other people in the world that find it astonishing, and more than a little terrifying, that she's in line to potentially have so much power.

I have yet to hear the woman utter an intelligent sentence.

The statements you have read here for the most part do not reflect their desire to affect an outcome in a foreign election, which you so rightly observed, they cannot influence, but a very real sense of fear as to what this idiot could do to the planet... given the havoc generated by the last moron the US electorate decided to put in power, I believe they have reason to be concerned... and a right to express it.

I think she's a bit of a yummy mummy and would certainly slip her a length, assuming she asked nicely ;o)

It takes a lot of money to look this cheap

Unless you have a vote, they don't. People with a vote may take comfort that they are going to vote the way they are but it's, well, silly to suggest that it will have an effect on the way the US vote goes. Anyone with experiance of samples etc will tell you that.

I thought her confronting the mimic/critice both showed inteligence and gumption. Now, don't get me wrong, that doesn't make me a fan but I can give credit where it's due.

Welp, time to pack it in boys, ender11118 says we're not allowed to have opinions on Palin

Never mind though, we had a good run

awyehz, well, I'm just stung. Gosh, by all means have your opinions (not sure when I gave my dictate that you couldn't, but well done for the missrepresentation, you ever concidered a career in journalisam?). I'm just saying it won't matter a jot, but hey, knock yourselves out.

I think the slow-wittedness thing is a deliberate campaign strategy by McCain and Palin. It appeals to all Americans: the dumb ones don't feel patronised and the intelligent ones feel superior, so they vote for them.

Its a throwback to the Bush campaign. After all, he got voted in twice, so the strategy must have something going for it.

By all accounts that action, brave as it appeared, backfired on her.

I still fail to see how this action helps qualify her for the position she is running for. Delegates from her own party have concerns about her selection, citing that there are many candidates, both male and female far more suitable for the position. It has been claimed that she has been chosen more for her appearance than her experience.

Whilst I'd certainly agree that she is the best looking of the figures involved in US electoral race, I struggle to see why any rational man or woman would want her in such a powerful position in the White House.

It is apparently the case that loads of men notice her sex appeal. Some people just exude it and it's a bit indefinable why they have it and others who may be just as good looking do not but it's probably there.
