Well for those that keep asking - NO. I am not ok. I am not alright.
I am tired, I am stressed, I am ill. I am lonely, I am in pain. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and every day is living hell. I cannot use my hands properly, I cannot feel my fingers and using my right arm is like being sliced open and burnt all at once. My feet are in agony, I can't walk properly. I hurt in every possible place. Oh and I missed FetSoc yet again. I am alienating my friends, potential new friends and everyone around me.
Imagine your worst ever day, then live it every day. That's me, that's my life.
But yeah, I'll be fine. As always. Edited Thu 23 Oct 08, 10:31 PM by fyrephin

Hey, sorry to hear you are feeling low and in pain. Have you tried Dialectical Behaviour Therapy? It is a therapy for those with Borderline Personality Disorder.
If you would like to talk to me about it, mail me privately if you like.

Its so so complex, basically the psychiatrist is refusing everything, and my Social Worker is fighting for me to get help. I have wanted to try DBT for a while. CBT really made things worse, but DBT is worth a try, but I can't get referred for it.

I think so It's good to have directness.
My arms both have nerve injuries, its incredibly debilitating, but its slowly being tested and treatment options looked at.
My feet are a lot more complex, they are internally screwed and very painful to walk on, and causes pain to other joints e.g. ankles, knees, back. You gave away the things You loved, and one of them was me

was it this psychiatrist that said you had BPD? or someone else of do you not have a diagnosis yet?

So, I assume you have been diagnosed with BPD by a psychiatrist, so what is the issue why they will not refer you (mail me in private if you would like a chat)? Your social worker may be trying to help, but ultimately you will need to have a psychiatrist refer you for the treatment, so if they are not doing that, then maybe you need support in getting them to give you this treatment. Do you have a local mental health advocacy near you? They will support you in meetings with a social worker/ psychiatrist.
If you are feeling low and want to chat, I am always happy to do so.

I'm currently between Psychiatrists, the previous one will not take responsibility, and I am still waiting to see the new one for the first appointment (I have changed areas). So my Social Worker is the only mental health professional involved currently.
Its a little more complex than that, but I'm not going to post it in public! You gave away the things You loved, and one of them was me

Thats cool. I would again suggest that you contact an advocacy service if at the present time you only have the social worker to support you. They can be very helpful in lending support for service users.
Also, there is a DBT skills book by Marsha Linehan that you can use to try to self help while waiting for the therapy.
Hope this helps.x Slutty slut from slutland.

*hugs*
I understand but there's nothing I can actually do, I wish I could. I have been so bad before with BPD as well as 2 other disorders, severe illness, recurent tendonitus and living through hell... at the time it may seem there is little hope but I got through it and improved to a point of a nearly normal life and I am sure you can too.
Just keep fighting and one day you'll come out much stronger and find happiness once more. Miss Kitty
