Yup here I am again in Pain from my ankles and this time its so bad I feel sick with it. I cant sleep its so bad. I really swear but I am sitting here saying so many bad words I am ashamed of myself but how do I get rid of the pain with out upsetting or waking Cally. F**k knows. I dont any more.
I try to rest them as the doc said but that is not working, I take the pills but they are not working. I exercise again as per docs instructions but that does not work. How can I rest the ankles and exercise it just does not make sense. So a black mood is the order of the early hours

What's the pain from?
Could you try something really weird to stop the pain like putting a bag of frozen peas on your ankles, warming them up, sticking honey on them etc?
Hope the pain goes soon and you can get some sleep! Your power, our pleasure, my pain.

How about putting your feet in front of a blowing fan? Wind flow to cool you down that doesn't involve something cold directly touching your skin like a bag of frozen peas. Your power, our pleasure, my pain.

Hiya hun,
Big hugs from one pain sufferer to another. I know how hard it is to turn off bad pain, and my heart goes out to you. I do truly hope you find some relief.

You have my sympathy too. I currently have a painful left foot. It's not on the scale of what you describe but on the other hand (foot? ) I need to dance on mine even if it's only to demonstrate the dances I teach. I've also got a nose and throat infection so I'm not in the best of health at that end either. At least I was able to sleep but I had to get up at 7 for work.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience. (I must try to remember that )

My sympathies, it's horrible when there is just no cure and the advice you are given is conflicting. I don't have it as bad as you do as it's my hands that have been in pain for 4 years and they are easier to not use for a time.
Hope you find some way of dealing with it, I just had to get on with things regardless in the end as 2 years of 'rest' and metal braces did nothing to help. I'm just wondering if any alternative therapies might help you like accupuncture? Just a thought Miss Kitty

Have you tried a warm bath, it will help to relax you and you can cope with pain more when you are relaxed.
I suffer with nerve and muscle pain every day, A warm bath when i can get in it, helps to relax the muscles and nerves.
it only gives a breif respite but it does help for a short while, might be enough to make you fall alseep.
I'll make you up an aromatherapy remedy for next week and you can try that to see if it works for you.

I second the acupuncture suggestion if you havent tried it. Be very sure to get a very well qualified acupunctuist though. Sweetiejar
