Almost, almost, only a couple of weeks ago. I had an improvised parachute round the ball sack - a piece of flat webbing. Attached to this was a set of weights, we won't go into how many or how heavy, when Mrs RR came upstairs unexpectedly. Barbell weights and a ball strap cannot be concealled easily around one's person and although of an inventive frame of mind I could not think of any reason, logical or not. Did I mention the camera? I managed to keep the camera dry and hide the evidence under a towel in the shower. | |

Ah but then they probably excpect you to come back. What about those that weren't intending to remain bound but ended up having to be rescued? I once tied myself to a chair and handcuffed myself. The key managed to jam. That was a fun 2 hours wiggling myself free. Luckily no one was sue back that evening :P The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on. | |

I think my worst has been getting to the last stage of my escape routine and managing to dislodge the item to which my key was attached and it fell onto the floor in the dark. Having latex gloves on made finding it by touch alone rather difficult and so I had to wait another 2 hours for sunrise to give me enough light in the room to find the key. I had little chance of being found out though as I was living alone. Also means I would have been very stuck indeed if I'd managed to do anything more silly than that, so I've tightened up on my fail-safes since then. | |

Yarp, nearly managed to kill myself when trying an inflatable rubber nhood, very tight fitting, and managed to handcuff my hands behind my back. Of course, having thick wrists, the handcuffs jammed, so I panicked. Managed to calm myself down, thinking about how to get the hood off, then calmly thought about how to unjam handcuffs. After a couple of minute running wrists uner cold water, they shrunk enough to allow the handcuffs to free, so was able eventually to get out opf the rubber hood too, so I'm still alive. I think. Once when I was doing a rope hog-tie on the bed. Not being very experienced I tied myself off in a kneeling position intending to flop forward into the middle of the bed. However I came down at an angle across the bed, bounced back up and my momentum carried me forward so that as I came down my head and shoulders were over the side of the bed. I promptly slid over the side and landed quite hard face first into the carpet. Thankfully nothing broken (as in my neck!) but I had a wonderful carpet burn down my face and a beautiful black eye. Plus I was still bound, the ropes had pulled tighter and the knife was on the far bedside table. I was in a lot of pain and starting to panic, I eventually managed to wriggle one hand free, and then free myself. I survived but explaining the carpet burn to my face (it was not good) took some doing.
