Would it be possible to have a preview button on the settings page of your profile.
The only reason I ask is when your writing a huge amount or trying some things out on your profile it's a little labourious to update, go to profile, have a look then re-adjust!
A preview button next to the "update" button would be very helpful and useful.
Thank you

It would be quite hard to present that cleanly, since to preview all the settings on the Profile Settings page requires displaying a complete profile page. You might as well just keep one tab open with your profile page and one tab open with your profile settings and keep doing Update and reload in the other tab.

When you press the update profile button, it takes you back to the "Settings overview" page, could it take you to your profile page instead, so you could see how the changes look?

That's something I've been meaning to ask as well.
Thread are like skirts. They should be long enough to cover the interesting details, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Ok (This means its two clicks to get back to Profile Settings again, but we guess that more people edit their profile and want to look at it in one tab/window than keep two tabs open and so need to do two clicks to get back to the form each update.)

When i'm updating or editing the profile, i have two browser tabs open, one for editing and one for preview. I update and save in one and Ctrl-F5 in the other.

Well true, I guess it is only two clicks, and if I want to make ammendments then I've pretty much shot myself in the foot -- but for me it's not only two clicks, it's more paranoia. I want to be able to see it instantly, to quickly check it over before anybody else does. I get very embarassed about mistakes, so I like to notice them a.s.a.p and change them as and when I notice them. I know it's a bit silly but it does put my mind at rest knowing I can take my typos virginity before some hobbo setting up tent on my profile.
ETA-- thanks for the update

A helpful person once told me long ago that if you use the memo button on your home page to send yourself a memo, leave the title blank (so you can't actually memo yourself) and cut and paste your profile text into the memo then you can use the preview button there to see what it looks like. Doesn't do the top and tail bits but you can't control them anyway. Madness takes its toll
