So why are Dark Lord Dredd and Master Craftsman allowed to open closed threads on Max Moseley and the rest of us cant?
So much for free spech eh? |

I could be very wrong, but from what I recall earlier on, the thread was full. Then it dropped back down to 94-odd posts, which the Dark Lord and the Craftsman then replaced.
If that's correct, it's not so much that they reopened it, it's more down to whoever deleted a couple of posts. Edited 11 Oct 08, 11:20 PM by awakened

I agree. Also why have we not had an answer in the last two minutes. Could management please step in and clarify the situation? Many a slip twixt cup and lip.

The management? They're far too busy sorting out the 20 million dildoes they had invested in Iceland.
You won't get anything out of them until Gordon works out a kinky compensation package. |

Full threads. Not closed threads. As explained, if they stop being full, people can add more posts again.

Never try to explain by paranoia what can be explained by an incomplete understanding of how a system works ...

Lasttime I checked, threads maxed-out at 93. Sometimes if someone has gone away with the 'reply post' page open, and come back say, when the thread was maxed, and then fill out the box and send it, it will still appear as a post. And if a thread is maxed and posts have been deleted, it stops being locked and can be refilled. There is also something that using the back button can do, but I won't explain just incase I'm not supposed to.
(Could be entirely wrong though, just saying what I've noticed) Thread are like skirts. They should be long enough to cover the interesting details, but short enough to keep things interesting.

Maybe it was one of them that deleted a couple of their own earlier posts to allow a new last word?
Or, maybe they're just constantly refreshing the Discussions button, sitting, waiting, hoping, for someone to delete so they can get on in there?

To paraphrase someone from a galaxy far, far away, who's the sadder fool? The fool, or the fool who follows him?

The other thing is that if the thread fills up while you're still writing a reply, your reply is still accepted. Some people are very good at timing this kind of thing to their own advantage.
