3 mths Hi all, I'm sure this was mentioned in a recent newsletter so forgive me if you're having to repeat your gorgeous selves, but, does anyone know how long it takes to get a photo approved? I have two with crosses marked over them that I uploaded last week, fairly harmless I think, and I'm not sure whether they have been denied or are in waiting for approval. Help anyone?

Over the years I've had to wait anything from same day aproval to 8 days though average for me has been between 5-7.
I don't know if you get notified or not if they're not approved as I've had no problems with mine.

As stated in help and about, it could take between 7 minutes and 7 days but with the downtime that IC had last week, I suspect that there could be a backlog of pictures to clear through.
However, if your pictures are still there with crosses through them, they are awaiting approval, I found that a non-approved one just vanished after submission so patience is your friend.

Wherever they're from - they are entirely superflous
I did recently upload a pic - waited 7 days - then it disappeared completely
6 hours later it reappeared - approved
Patience is the only way to deal with it I think - and I suspect Admin get quite a few questions about why something will have not been allowed through, each of them greeted with a weary sigh.

After the downtime I received the circular from Admin that reminded us that photos loaded some time ago needed to be re-approved due to the new extreme pornography legislation. Accordingly I went in to submit my photos for re-approval and found that I could only submit one at a time. I've only managed to re-submit two so far. I can only think that everybody else is doing the same as me and thus Admin are snowed under.
Admin, is it right that we can only submit one photo at a time at the moment?

No, you dont get notified if they are not approved, they just dissapear.x

I did wonder - I had one of mine disappear not so long ago - although I wish I knew why it hadn't been approved - I checked the things we are allowed to show and not - there was no erect members waving about (which is a shame because I have a gorgeous pencil drawing downloaded of a man post ejaculation but still erect - v damn arousing - which I didn't download for that v reason)

Admin, is it right that we can only submit one photo at a time at the moment?

After all the fuss about the new laws they marked all existing pictures as needing to be rechecked and then announced that on the boards quite a few months ago. They did allow 3 pictures to be submitted, but then got swamped and so reduced the number to one to make it easier to handle as there were still new pictures coming along. The newsletter has probably given the resubmissions a boost but Admin is pretty good at keeping on top of such things, but they still have lives to lead outside of IC.
When I submit a picture I forget about it for a while and it's usually done by the time I remember about it, after all it's only going to sit in my profile so there shouldn't be that much of a need for a rush to get it on there, especially as there are other photo hosting sites to show off pics or you can e-mail it to someone if they need to see it.
