i've had an older and a younger Dom, and had a closer relationship with the younger. however, the dynamics were different. I think it all depends on the person

Age differences seem to be no problem to me but agism these days has no right to exist. If you really can't cope with age differences then you need to think why do I practise what I do?

I like both older and younger dommes. I think they can both provide different scenarios and different levels. Variety is the spice of life.

What do you mean by "can't cope with age differences"? People in this thread (me included) have been expressing their sexual preferences, nothing more.

I have always gone out with a range of ages (within reason) although, i do prefer seeing someone my own age as they are more likely to be at the same 'life stage' as myself. However, there appears to be few 30somethings on the manchester scene. Lots of early 20's to mid 20's then a gap to about 42 ish...i think it is where everyone goes off and is 'normal' for a bit. More important is the following attributes: honest, reliable, thoughtful, a stud in bed, determined, positive minded to wash out my negative bits, durable. I have topped people up to the age of 48 and as young as 23. I've bottomed to 35 - 52 age range. Maybe because there are less younger male tops around (or it appears to be that way). The younger generation of men are generally sub or switch. I wasn't sure why but my friend said it may be because in real life men are 'expected' to be conventionally masculine all the time. The dom men tend to be older unless they are switch. My observations may be wrong they are just in my experience.

In general, I have never really fancied older men. I like the happy-go-lucky charm that the boys I've seen appear to exude. However, when my first sub appeared in my working environment as my manager, I liked him. Then after a couple of months, we had a regular play/sex session going on. I'm 20 and he's 36, and anyone who has heard of it usually tells me he's too old for me. I can't remember the last guy I liked who was ten years+ older than me.

No preference... like many others here it's the individuals personality that matters most. Faydrah |
