Thanks everyone for the comments. In fact I'd forgotten I'd asked this question sometime ago, I'm getting forgetful! Owing to back problems, shaving is out of the question. If I attempted to contort myself to shave said area, I'd no doubt either be stuck in that position - wouldnt the ambulance people find that an eye opener when asked 'Tell us again, how did this happen to you??', or I'd suffer some serious back injury. A smooth body area isn't worth perm injury. So I'm going to go for the waxing option. Now I just need to locate someone in Birmingham, reputable, to help me with this. Thanks again everbody. | ||

Veet, Veet, Veet! The ingrowing hair is called a pilionidal sinus, can turn dodgy and end up in hospital! Not sure the enema the nurse gave me was necessary but we did go out for a drink, after I was discharged! Happy memories! | ||

Nobody has mentioned that it is a well proven medical fact that the nerve endings in the anal crack are interconnected with the nerve endings in the eyes. I am sure that is why when you use the tweezers to pull the hairs out it makes your eyes water. |
