Have you considered The Tranquil Otter near Carlisle? It's close to such interesting places as Cockermouth, Cumwhitton and Blackdyke. And I'm sure there is or was an Otter sanctuary just the other side of Carlisle on the road to Newcastle.

What I say goes...

. . . in through one ear and out the other.

Iraq? Great for archaeology :). Nice weather this time of year, too.

Do they have Iraqi otters?

Apparently they do, as you would have known if you were a regular reader of The Daily Mammal, which, of course, I am. Tsk!

What's the point having cake, if you can't eat it?

Lots of otters nearer to Sheffield! http://www.chestnutcentre.co.uk/welcome.htm And they appear to be into strange things there... Poo Trail - Come and test your knowledge and hunt round the Centre to find out 'Which animal has produced which poo' That has got to be worth at least a day trip!

I have an otter in the freezer, does that count?? Mustelids rock, not that D has a badger fixation in any way shape or form.....

Rar for hobilies anyway, I just experienced Orkney snow and Kirkwall has an otters crossing sign, all official, the only one I've ever seen.

:)

If you can't be a good example - you'll have to be a terrible warning
